The Populist Reform Party of Liberty was founded by Eugene Debs to meet the needs of an ever growing outcry for government reform. They are a political party within Liberty's government, aimed at ameliorating Liberty to better suit the needs of it's citizens. Gaining support in systems that have been devastated by the war and the current economic crisis, the party plans to get a number of members elected into office to affect these changes.
A man's face appears on the screen. He is in his forties with a politician's smile -- warm, yet distant.
"Greetings, citizens of Liberty! We stand at the very cusp of a new era, a new chapter in the history of our proud House. And who will be remembered as the ones who stood tall and affected change when those around feared to do what was necessary? That will be us of the Populist Reform Party. Our goals for now are simple: bring Liberty to a better place. Stop the outsourcing of jobs and put them back in the hands of our citizenry. Make the reforms needed to build a better Liberty. Join our cause - visit our neural net page for more information, which will soon be fully operational with election info, our views, goals, and visions of a better tomorrow."

It doesn't require you to do anything but look at characters you have in Liberty (or make one if you really want) and think if they would have views similar to those expressed by this party. **Strange, but attractive woman in Navy suit walks into main office. She takes a seat**
"Greetings. My name is Elona, Elona Regine. You see, sir, I very admire your policy proposed in Liberty. I am part of secondary Naval division and a direct witness of all problems you listed while talking a speech. I thought you can take my help in promoting your policy by direct actions from my side, I'd gladly do that. I would very appreciate it if you would list my name among your supporters."
**She takes her papers and walks away to hangar bay**
I recently heard of your party over the neural-net, and though I applaud some of your initiatives such as improving the terrible conditions on Houston and Denver, I must question your policy on banning Junkers from Liberty space.
We Junkers are a hard-working people who want nothing more than to be left alone. I'm sure you agree that the Jersey, Detroit and Pittsburgh debris fields are an eyesore, and the sooner the radioactive scrap is cleared out of Texas the better. We have been working tirelessly for many years and decades to clean up these fields, which have become nests for pirates and terrorists. If the Junkers go, who will take care of the garbage? Left unchecked, it could start drifting into trade lanes and playing havoc with shipping.
Please reconsider your attitude to Junkers. All we want is to be allowed to do our job, which we have been doing for centuries without ever asking for a wage or public recognition.
Yours,
Amy Carmichael
Director of Liberty Operations, Junkers Congress
I must reiterate what the gentleman in the previous transmission indicated. The Junkers are hard-working people who provide an invaluable service to Liberty. Aside from them, the only ones properly equipped to handle such large-scale salvaging operations are ALG Waste Disposal, which, according to your platform, must be barred from Liberty at all costs.
Now I must say that I am interested in several points of your platform, including providing jobs and housing for the tent city residents of Denver and improving conditions on Houston, which is where I happened to grow up.
I am especially interested in your intention to reduce unemployment. I believe that I may have some solutions to this problem.
Aside from the xenophobic elements and irrational dislike of the Junkers, your platform seems visionary and I would be interested in becoming a party member and perhaps even running as a candidate for political office in the Texas system.
Riza was sitting in a large black leather chair, staring at the monitor, just past her in the background several old photographs and holo-images of various locations throughout Liberty could be seen, as well as photos of proud looking young men and women wearing Liberty Police Incorporated uniforms, a picture of Riza's old office and even a picture of LPI Headquarters.
"I am Riza Williams, a former Deputy Chief of Liberty Police Incorporated and this...this my friends is what our nation should be..."
Riza gestured to the photographs, a stern expression on her face.
"Our nation should be strong! we shouldn't be outsourcing jobs and shirking off the defenses of our border systems, screw the Rheinlanders, and screw our own leaders who sit by and refuse to do anything while pirates, Rheinlanders and various other foreign criminals run amuck inside our borders, something must be done and I think you people are the folks to look to, hell I'll even donate some of what's left of my severance pay from when I left the force. Those foreigners ought learn that Libertonian pockets'll damned well be lined before we let them line their own...I'm sick of seeing people living in the streets of Planet Houston because their families couldn't find work due to some foreign conglomerate or other...We need to be strong, we need to be unified, and we need to put our nation first! You can count on my vote, and maybe even activism on the party's behalf, just say the word and I'm yours!"
"While your party has high flying goals, and pie eyed dreams I don't see how you will afford this? You offer only what you will do to increase, but you don't mention how you will make up for the nations debt that it is already sunken. Then on top of that how you will pay for these outlandish claims!
You want to increasing the NAVY by 200%!? That number is insane, you can only promise higher taxes and the lowering of the education system and other vital social services and that will still not cover that project alone. You wish the start of terraforming projects, and a restarting of a failed economy by pumping billions of credits Liberty already doesn't have into it. Your vision will bankrupt this nation.
Once we fall into financial ruin, the other house will find us easy prey. We need to take control of our mounting debt and deficit. We need to freeze government spending on things that are not essential, and open our borders to more imports. While we strength our own business and exports at home. We need to clean up the crime in California and focus a higher number of police in designated high risk zones.
We have to deregulate corporations and make Liberty an inviting place of operations for them, offer tax cuts to people who are starting business and tax cuts to corporations that hire people. Give the big business freedom, and the wealth will flow back into Liberty! Exiling the junkers will not help, not only will that cause an uproar among the many families who are supported by a Junkers paycheck each week, but you will have to start a government run salvage operations that will never make any profit and bleed credits like a slit jugular! We need to hold back the government from interfering with free market and business. We have to, without a doubt stop needless spending on ideas of the criminally insane!
In order to keep Liberty strong there are a few things we must do.
We must focus on education, advances in science and mathematics. We need to keep our eyes on our debt and ensure that the government doesn't oversteps its spending power. The boarders must be secure from invasion, but the life lines of our civilization (trade/Imports and Exports) must remain free and vibrant."
