SUBJECT: Patrol Report
Guten abend. Wachmann Schönau making my report. Before I start I'll mention that, for the sake of brevity, I'll try to only include scans and gun-cam still shots in routine reports when it is to prove involvement in a crime or when they're otherwise relevant, unless the brass requests I do differently.
My patrol began out of planet Hamburg. I made a routine sweep along the lanes to the Hudson gate, then back in the direction of the Brandenburg + Bonn intersection once I picked up lane traffic heading that way. I pulled over a DHC Hegemon captained by one Nikolai Demidov, hauling uncut diamonds to Manhattan he claimed. He checked out, so I resumed patrol and then caught a pair of Junker salvage frigates, designations ".:J:.|Blaker" and "junker-vengeful_one", both hauling uncut diamonds towards Liberty. They passed muster as well, but I'm skeptical of how they acquired the cargo. Can't trust Junkers to not infringe on Daumann's mineral rights after all, but I had no evidence, so I let 'em walk. I'll be keeping a close eye on them if I see them in Rheinland again. I got scan results backed up to my office terminal here on Brandenburg if you're interested.
Some time later, in the vicinity of Oder Shipyard, I spotted what looked like a Gallic train bearing a Daumann ID. Interested, I pursued it and requested it stop, and it only complied when I caught up to it at Mannheim Station. Ship designation was "Sandro", although the captain never spoke a word to me. I revoked his docking clearance and was running a check on whether Daumann utilized any Gallic trains when the ship dropped off my scopes completely. I don't know where it went, or how it evaded me, and the dockmaster on Mannheim assured me he didn't dock there. I'd run this guy by the Daumann big-wigs and make sure they know about him. I made my way back to Brandenburg, and on my way I caught an independent miner in a Hegemon, designation "CMV-Atlas-1" and a cargo bay of aluminum ore. Curious, I asked him where he mined the ore, and he admitted that he acquired it in the Munich system. Naturally, I proceeded to tell him that he is not to mine from corporately-owned fields in Rheinland without the express permission of the owner, and fined him a million credits. In retrospect, I should've gone harder on him and levied the full worth of the cargo for transfer to Daumann, but I figure not going too hard on him might encourage the man to go legit, maybe get a job here. I catch him again, I won't be so lenient. [Scan results included: ------ ]
Lastly, I got reports of a transport carrying industrial hardware that was refusing to stop when one of our polizei gunboats, the Willemstad, attempted to pull it over. Designation was "T3M|-Terroruk", by now well-known to us. I arrived late on the scene at the Omega-7 jump gate where the Willemstad had the vessel stopped. The transport had sustained damage from our gunboat, and I inquired as to the offenses and the fines to be levied. After a short period of the captain complaining to us, the Willemstad proceeded to disable the transport with its guns. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure whether procedure was followed there, but that's a matter for you guys upstairs to sort through, since that wasn't my sting.
