credit transfers between chars

(I probably posted this in the wrong place but I want to make sure that this will be read by anyone)

I've seen that most of us are using trade chars to make credits since it's an efficient and easier than to make missions (and missions make your rep so bad...)
so I thought that instead asking a friend to help you transfer some credits from your trade char to your fighitng char so that you can buy some good equipment it would be very quick and easy that on this page to be a special topic where players can leave the source char name,destination char name and amount of credits (for example) like the topic with the changing of names.
I think everyone needs this kind of service a little bit !

(And if the idea is appreciated,probably I'll make a poll about this.)

You mean I'll have to do lots of money transfers manually when you can do it without my help. Sorry, but I'm against this idea. You cannot change your charnames, so it's all right to ask me (by the way since 4.78 changing names will not be free, I'll substract a sum of money from the char you are renaming or from another char in your posession. Didn't yet decide what it will be, definitely not less than 1 million.)

But you can transfer money without admin help, so it's not one of the things I should spend my precious time on.

Yeah I agree with Igiss because you can even transfer money yourself. Buy some expensive thing, Nova torps are good, and jettison them switch char and tractor them in at the same place and sell them to get what you paid for them.

This souds like a good idea. But it will be a hell of a job for igiss
changing har names is an annoying task, now imagine also transferring creds...
Char renames is an uncommon situation, but transferring creds if far more common... Igiss' freetime will became all "cred transfer"...

Why are you all asking Igiss to do this for you? I was hoping someone would follow me and Angel's lead and help make new stuff, instead of always asking Igiss to do this and that. Geez he is trying to run a server, an Oblivian site, and mod and update Discovery. Do you think he has unlimited time or something?

To Igiss: Maybe you should assign someone to help admin the server and help with name changes and that stuff, like you did with the moderators.

1 million - not too much. This will help to prevent some people to request for name change many times. As the server restarts are automatic, renaming became a difficult task.

Besides, you know only about the sent to me via PM? I'm getting them almost every day.

Sorry Dab, but maybe you should stop dropping hints that you deserve more power over the server? I'm not going to open access to PC where FL server is running while I'm capable of maintaining it myself. It's an immense security risk. You won't be able to memorize password I'll assign, and it may easily fall into wrong hands. If FLServer had remote control, I'd probably assign other admins, but that's not the case.

And I'm still looking for a new host, remember... my PC is not enough to run anything larger than 15 people online at one time, and the connection speed is sometimes not enough even to support 5 online. I hope I'll be able to impove connection speed in the near future, but I won't be able to replace the CPU.

Igiss, my offer still stands. I have a fairly powerful machine that has been un-used since last year that ran Freelancer 24/7 for several weeks non-stop. I would be more than happy to host the server on it for you if you would like.

As for internet connection, I have a broadband cable, Business-leased, 2MB up and down stream. handles more than 15 users when i stress-tested it months ago.

I wasn't asking you to give me the job I have never admined a server before and I don't wanna try with one so populated. I mean't to add someone you couldn trust on that post but I must have forgotten to.
