What a beautiful time of year in Baffin! Hodge and Podge are nuzzling like little puppies. The rings of Eris are exquisitely highlighted. A wonderful place.. for those who have the choice whether to visit or not.

Which brings me to my point: Members of the Slavers Union, and "like-minded" entrepeneurs..

I was briefly in receipt of a donation of 5 Million credits from your vessel the {SU}Aluminum.Falcon; but..

..as a Religious leader, and man of compassion, Goddess prompted me to return the donation, twofold, in the sincere hopes that your organization would use the funds to purchase a minimum of five percent "emergency rations".. food, water, and air, for your "passengers", or "guest workers", or however those poor souls are referred to in the "trade".

The TAZ has always attempted to be open about who visits the Home of Eris, with little or no regard as to the purpose of that visit.. pilgrimage, exploration, trade, or "just passing through". However, my conscience and the Small but Brassy Voice of Eris prompt me to make this compassionate request of those who would transport humans through our space..

Please, please, please treat those humans with compassion. Allocate 5% of your hold space for "compassionate" purposes. Consider this your "Fithing" to Eris, and you will never be asked for another Temple donation again.

I beseech you to consult your Pineals, and to show your respect to Goddess by doing this simple thing.

I'm confused as to why exactly Union transports are in Baffin, but I don't expect that answer from you. Internal matter, of course.

I would like to ask you, first of all, how, exactly, you think our passengers, yes, that is the correct term for persons being moved, regardless of their intent...how you think they're packaged?

Furthermore, you make no concessions for the distribution of these 'compassion' goods...Might I assume that for every five thousand units of cargo, were I to hire an escort and fill their hold with 200 units of 'compassion', Eris's fithing might be achieved?


Or do you intend for the union to fill its holds with cargo which my cargo itself would consume?

Either option would be acceptable, and would indicate to Goddess that you have shown some consideration for your "passengers".

My message was in the form of a heartfelt plea, not an "edict".

As Zoners, the TAZ have not and will not restrict the "freedoms" of pilots to carry whatever cargo they choose through Baffin; however, as a Religious organization, we can not help but notice that your specific cargo is human, not cattle. Every Pineal is Holy unto Eris, regardless of its mean condition, madame.

By acknowledging that fact, you and your organization just may ensure the continued holiness and well-being of your own Pineals.

We shall see how events transpire.

I can assure you that I treat my cargo, be it human or cattle...or some confusion of the two, in the best possible manner...and I'm slightly disturbed by the suggestion that cattle would be ill treated...should I trust Zoner meats?

The word has been spread, of course, that you want to be sure of a cargo in case these people...wake up, or are shipwrecked or some such, I assume, there will be a stock of supplies for them to live off of aboard ships passing through their territories...Will you be taking punitive measures against shippers not maintaining such emergency rations?
