the original suggestion contained some irriversible errors ( like too many polygons and over the top size ) - so i had to revise the concept. - this DN + station is the result.
the whole station is smaller now - more compact - but i really couldn t get too large in a single mesh. - if the order wishes to have the whole station look larger - i d suggest to attach vanilla parts to it ( like corridors and a habitated asteroid or something )
the DN features lines of the "advanced" cruiser i made as a concept - but only slightly. large twin impulse engines - a very large bridge section as well as many windows should make the whole ship appear to be very large ( about Kusari battleship sized )
i have decided not to make it as large or larger than the juggernaut, cause that size would really be too much for the order i daresay.
the pylons all around are meant to be hardpoints for large battleship turrets ( since the station is meant to be a stronghold ) - there are 36 hardpoints ( 32 being the maximum number of turrets to be placed on a single mesh ) - enough room to make it invincible anyway.
edit: so you don t get ideas - station + ship will be placed as a "single" mesh. - i ll keep the "ship" to myself. ( for now ) - the mesh that is placed in disco will never be possible to become a playership. ( in that state )
upper and lower part of the yard could ( in theory ) be moved away to release the ship. - so its not the ship moving out, but the shipyard being removed from the ship...... - anyway ... the ship doesn t leave the yard, cause the RP about it is ... to be inside for the time being.
It is never meant to undock. A full story of what it is and how it got there is being prepared for over 3 months now by over 10 contributors as well as with consultancy to other players. We hope that you will like the implementations that we were working so hard to add.
Sorry for being a bit secretive about it, it was of certain design reasons and surprises.
