In the time since this went up I've had three fleet engagements involving factions listed here, in no small part due to people going "oshi we need to be active" and thus being around when stuff goes down. The factions that can't pull up activity probably aren't that involved in politics or any of the other perks of being official, and the ones that can grace the server with their numbers in doing so.
NEW LONDON - Today, the Board of Directors of Gateway Interstellar announced that the company would be voluntary withdrawing from its Royal Charter granted by the Bretonian Crown. The announcement came in the midst of a sector-wide economic downturn, as well as constricted trading opportunities due to the Bretonia-Kusari and Liberty-Rheinland Wars.
Sir Alisdair Buchanan, semi-retired CEO and Chairman Emeritus of Gateway, made the statement: "Good day. I have been authorized by Gateway's Board of Directors to announce that we are voluntarily withdrawing from official status as a Bretonian company. We have had to downsize considerably, and our fine trade captains, crews, and company staff, by and large, have had to attend to many other claims on their busy lives. Gateway has always been about its employees and their needs, so we have decided - as a company - to discontinue official operations for now.
"That said, our vessels will still be trading under the Gateway flag in an independent capacity, and we have been assured that Kensington will still be able to house and resupply us. We continue to welcome new traders into our midst, and we hope that at some point in the future, we will be in a position to request reinstatement by the Crown. Until then, we remain positive about our individual participation in Sirius commerce, and we hope to be of service to the people of Bretonia and the traders of Sirius for a long time to come.
Thank you."
//Sorry, Del. We're just not in a position to keep Gateway going in an official capacity right now, so we voluntarily withdraw. We'll still be out there, though. Thanks for your patience.
Quote:Black Dragon activity hit a temporary very low level. No problem rectifying - thanks for the warning!
Well, Udo's one of the more infamous characters on the server, and one of my personal favorites, so he's staying around.
Also, I'm happy to help get the KSP, AFA, and Hogosha active. The Consortium, Unofficial or not, Needs a bit more activity and interaction as well. If everyone would be up for some events or collaborative Forum RP, we can all gain plenty of synergy effects as a result.

I have to say that it actually did some good to Repex.
Resulted in a reogarnisation of the thing.
And now the faction is probably one the most active corps factions.
