A call for regulation/control via ids/forum

Well yes judging by the amount of people saying this and that about IDS and people this people that LN is that theres a LOLSAIR or other such oorp things and people crying over spilt milk:Dits ok it is spilt milk it is a problem it is an issue it is frustrating it is iritating people doing all sorts of manner of things to ruin the fun of the majority who genuinely love RP. Yes your gonna call me mean your gonna call me something unpleaseant:Dyes im suddenly going from being cuddly and cute to ICEY STRICT DEMONESS.

Let us install controls/ more Regulate to the server.

The Idea is to do this by using the forum, server I.Ds and purchase ability.

We need to make it an option or command firstly for the admins regarding players accounts we will call it GENUINE or Authentic it will be easy to use something like player genuine Yes or No two selections for this option. (maybe there is a way to do go yes or no to all the accounts of that player IDK)

A player new to the servers comes in starts off as a NO when they first start.
A player that isnt genuine or authentic and is a NO as a NO that player can't buy IDS and is restricted to low powered ships that if you came across wouldnt really be able to scratch your ship. maybe limit the amount that person can say in system chat at a time no wait that sounds too harsh.

This basically enables players that are genuine RPing players to be unaffected by the small element that can ruin it everyone else. This also allows us to see who the NEWbies are because they wouldnt have an ID tag and it would allow for seasoned players that know how the server works to Assist new players that are Genuinely there to learn have fun and RP impart wisdom that said No ID if they start being horrible you know who to avoid.

Right how to become officialy GENUINE or AUTHENTIC make it compulsory for a player to join the forum as soon as they are on the forum click Yes on that persons account or what ever to make them Genuine they then have access to all the wonders discovery has to offer and are a valuable asset to the community rather than ruin life for everyone. An extra could be maybe they have a trial period or they have to join an official faction and Learn for a bit IDK maybe that is a bit too harsh.

Either way I believe such a system would make life a lot better for everyone with such a clamp down through control points or regulation.

Unless you puppet my character then i might get annoyed.:)i just thought that this idea might be of some use to everyone else might be something to bump about and give some thought or come up with a similar idea and put that on the table

Gawsh, Sophia, get some sleep or something. The confusing structuring and lack of punctuation in your sentences is making it hard for me to read.

Anyways. I don't think that such a system is entirely needed. Maybe just if you want to buy a Battleship or something. Other than that it would not be necessary. The lolwuts that plague our server are already restrained nicely by our server rules and their reduced mental capacity.

You'd have the modify the IPB software, not sure if you can do that legally though.

There would have to be telnet connections to the server from the forums the first time you submit the application.

I guess a better way would just be giving all faction high commands (or leader/secondary leader for corporations and such) the ability to use a command that makes an account 'GENUINE' when someone gets accepted into a faction.

Yes, why not make it easier for those with too much time, no real-life social skills and the affiliation to boss others around to bully every new or independent player. (that was sarcasm for those who didn't notice.)

Judging from my experience in game, I would estimate that at half or two thirds of the players are NPC-Faction players.
If you did what you suggest, we would loose nearly every independent player within a week or something.

The name of the game is freelancer not stay within your borders and don't look at anyone.

Ok, enough unconstructiveness, sorry so far and something constructive:

This system is ment good by you, but if it is implemented soon there will be restrictions on techniques depending on forum rank and so on.
From that point on you can start forgetting the words Role Play and replace it with Domination and Submission.

I am an Independent and I like it that way. And despite of some peoples opinion, most of the good role-play I had on this server had been with Independents that have probably never signed in to this forum like me (until the day before yesterday).
Moreover I often had problems with Player-Faction players that thought that they could bully around NPC-Faction players.

The restrictions you suggest would improve that misbehaviour.

Something else: "valuable asset to the community"
well, why do some people not join the forums?
Maybe, at lest that's the answer for me, it's because they don't have the time to write here for hours.
Probably for they have a Job and Family and for they want to spend the few time that they have with relaxing role-play rather than with rule discussions in forums.

I didn't base ^ for my idea I love independents too I said that as an extra measure if NEEDED. It isnt about writing on the forum its about filtering Genuine RP players and filtering them from the ones that ruin the game and the ROLEPLAY for everyone. Such a filter also allows us to see the new players that might need help and its a safe bet what sort of person it is if it doesnt reply and attempts to scream insanity and attack everyone on sight. The ones that truely need help they are genuine can then be directed on how to setup im sure it isnt too hard for a player to instruct another player. (I remember giving instruction and help to a lot of players over my time on discovery I know Im not the encyclopedia but i Help)

Genuine people that want to play the game would be willing to join the forum I imagine it takes only two seconds of their time were as the other sort of person are likely to not even bother with two seconds of forum posting.

Such Extreme behaviour as telling off for a certain technique is highly unlikely to happen why because it is RP an RP is unique. Unless you love beign stereotypical.

Yes that might work but in regards to that wouldnt it just be an Ingame command like say e.g. /givecash albeit something more like /genuine player Yes /genuine player No.

Oh just for ones information:)Im not a computer programmer so i have no idea how such things work.


Oh p.s:)you could call all of my characters indies if you like even my Govt official there is no Official govt faction. Why on EARTH would i want to limit or destroy indies or Indie RP

:)I am not intense i just made the original post when I was extremely tired and in a serious mood.

People kept saying this and that So i found them all strong cure and it would put an end to people saying this and that and pointing and other stuff etc etc:)The ULTIMATE peace:Dbut its all good

I personally don't think we need it but I put the idea forward if people want a Stop to certain elements that seems to gripe people and have them up in arms. This cure basically puts a stop to 75% of the things that seem to be the fire out of people including the 25% that usually snowballs from them.

It would be the strong drink I'm just putting in any clarification one needs if they misinterpret what the idea means and well people are welcome to add to it put forward there own ideas or come up with a new system or put forward what else might be an issue that needs a little tightening.
