The Sprolf Incident.

This is the thread which I refer to in the title.

First off, before I explain anything a few things must be addressed.

Sprolf, you have my thanks for allowing me to use your name, slander it falsely and basically allowing me a free reign without explaining much at all to you, yet asking for your trust.

Bear, you have my apologies. You deserved none of what you got in that thread at all. You are one of the most sincerest and righteous people on here and you should keep doing what you are doing.

Eternal, and other members of the Order High Command, relax. We can continue on like normal.

Zukeenee, my title is usually more political. The avatar change was a joke thing. I hope that sorts everything out.


Now, if you have not already put things together, let me explain. None of what I complained about actually happened. I spoke with Sprolf beforehand to pull the wool over your eyes. Now the question is why I did it.

The answer is quite simple. You tend to be a finicky bunch. I do not expect perfection out of you, but base line civility would have been fine.


My first post in that thread was ridiculous, instead of posting a rule violation report, talking to the Administrators, talking to the OHC, dealing with it privately or dealing with it in-RP, I posted a rage thread which attacked a specific person. (I even resorted to calling him names.)

The thread had no evidence whatsoever, but demanded all sorts of things happen. (Bans, removal of ships, crucification and so on.)

It even refused to accept that sometimes people have a bad day and do stupid things. (That they deserve to be forgiven for, after all this is a game.)

It made fun of all sorts of things, including Sprolf's avatar, which is a personal choice and I can choose to block if I wish to. (However, I am an incompetent idiot incapable of making my own choices.)

It even claimed that I was perfect, and as such I could criticise others as I see fit.

No, these are not my beliefs, but they are someone's that I am mirroring.

I figured what I did would be compared to Xoria's actions. (However, I also figured that it would not be compared to Virus' actions, which were very similar.)

Regardless, that is why I talked to Sprolf, and two others beforehand. (That is, so I could prove that this was a failed thread salvage event.)

Well I liked the idea to be honest, it was a clever one I must say and you did prove your point pretty well. Unfortunately for that specific thread, it got spammed down pretty hard, so the majority of your "social experiment" ended up in +1'ng. Kinda what I'm doing right now...

Spamming a thread you disagree with is a popular tactic in this forum. Having said that, it did not hinder my thread, point or message in any way, as it simply made me seem more ridiculous for having posted such a thing. (Which was a secondary objective in relevance to the thread.)

all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.

Well people always assume I'm so damn sarcastic, I still seriously think it was a clever trick you pulled off, I got convinced at least... I don't know if I'm that smart anyways. But you gotta admit it was pretty spammed down, so the effect you wanted it to have didn't happen. (My assumptions, being the Sherlock Holmes I'm.)

I like to joke alot, that's all... hopefully you didn't go so much conspiracy-ish on me. D:
