Well, yes, ive seen stuff like this happen a few times. Most of the time its just a bunch of indies that ended up finding eachother and go looking for trouble, but the RM invasions have been happening a fair bit recently.
But its not all 5 on 1 fights. Quite often when im out trading, i wont come across much more than a lone Gunboat or a couple of fighters/bombers, same when im mining. but i live in the low times, (+8 GMT) during the higher times things would be a bit different. and i dont even bother going on my RM chars unless theres hostile activity nearby.
If you find yourself outnumbered by hoards of hostile ships you have only three options, run away, submit to their demands if they're reasonable or call for backup of your own. Not much els can be done really.
Edit: apart from lodging a complaint in their faction feedback. results are not garrenteed though
Yeah I mostly just log on to one of my other char's,and avoid PVP system when i see a swarm go looking to gank. That is the advantage of having 14 char's. Always somewhere to go RP away from the ganker's.
yes, the familiar theme ... You can not do anything about it, looks like you have to reliance on the fairness of the players but for some reason (everyone has his own will) they forgot it ... what can you do? just go ahead and hope for improvement:D
Get a legal trader as an allernative to your smuggler so you can take it like a man when you get caught.
Try to organize yourself with other players to drive out RM invasions.
If you cant, talk to the RM guys in a calm and reasonable way ingame before posting a whining thread. Will help more than this cause they probly dont read the forums anyway.
Posting whining threads only encourages other people to post whining threads and give them crazy ideas about that their enemy isnt allowed to shoot them or win.
Quote:Fairly defeated is something I don't mind.. but when you are one against five then .. you can just die.
On the disco Berlin server, I was up alone in my penumbra against 1 sabre, 1 wasupi, 1 spatial, one ravens claw, and one Sekhmet. Plus one huge gallic battleship who was shooting its guns at me.
I killed the Sabre twice (they all kept re-engaing), the Sekhmet once, the spatial once, the ravens claw twice, I didnt get the wasupi, because the gallic battleship landed a lucky hit while my shields were down.
Then someone called me hacking (I dont even know how that works) faggot and I got banned.
Did you see me complain or whine?
Hell, no! That was best fight ever.
Nothing tells you "you are too awesome for this" than a banned screen and a "senior player" bringing a battlecruiser against your LF/VHF and totally losing his temper in a rant.
