The problem is that your planets have an unnatural glow. there is no definite light source, so the glow is unaccounted for, and thus lacks realism/sense of believablity (if thats even a word >_>).furthermore, the render of the ship is tiny and insignificant, leaving alot of unused space in the sig. about the stars, you should probably add another layer of noise, but much more brighter and extremely scattered,so it looks like the bg has a mix of dull and bright stars, making the scene look more "real"
Take a soft black Brush (Less Opacity and 0% Hardness) to take away some Stars. Add a few Dots drawn with a soft white Brush to create bigger Stars. Then copy the Star Layer you just created and use a Gaussian Blur for it, 5 Pixel should be okay. Just mess around a bit, try out some Stuff.

Too dark and distortinated, eye-ehm-aych-oh. Make it less like you pulled a set of blinds over it and you'll be good. I think less lines with a tint of black could achieve the same effect with better clarity.
Of course you probably wanted it unclear, so... Anywho...
