Nah.. Its nice but we have enough players who can do wingman stuff..
And about docking carriers
> what happens to the landed players when "cap" dies? - player dies too and he re spawns on last station
> if cap dies, what happens to the offline players that landed there? - they re spawn on last station
> if cap F1's, what should happen to the landed ships? - they respawn on last station
> what ships should be able to land, what sizes, ammount? - fighters/bombers - 5
> if a player cap with "guests" get sold/deleted, what will/shall happen to the players "inside"? - they respawn on last station..
I dont see problems here.. I guess trick is in coding these stuff into mod..
Actualy the NPC wingmen's of Flak 88 were desinged to make you better stand against other NPC's since they have been made so hard to kill. (The NPC's are almost the same as normal to ace players)
And a big min piont of NPC wingmen in a RP server would be. No time to RP since your wingmen will engage straight away. Would be a waste don't you think?
--- Edit: Oh and my conclusion is: No wingems in Disco.
NPC wingmen in disco would be rather pointless, unless you were out in the omicrons. I Mean, a Flak bloodhond Brigade rips things apart, but a DIsco bloodhound brigade? Lol.
Anyone else notice that that thread is two years old?

Treewyrm Wrote:all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.
Anyway... Carriers being able to actually let players dock, rearm, repair, etc. would give a use to Carriers besides being just another type of battle-ship.
And as mentioned above... the trick would be to keep a record of where the payers who dock on the carrier docked on a station before that.
The idea with dockable player capital ships sounds awesome but I don't think if it is possible.Anyway those issues said by Dnicu can be solved. As Sead said the problem would be the programming.
The idea with wingmen it's pretty dumb.As SeaFalcon said, there will be no RP because NPCs don't RP,but for a trader it would be nice because you can't always to find players to escort you.
