Though I have never had one of my ships put into Bastille, I do see in Flstat that they don't sell anything of consequence. My question is: If a player's ship is sent to Bastille for ID/Ship/Guns violation(s), should the bases sell ships/equipment to remedy the issue?
An option of self remedy
1. Give the player an opportunity to fix the issue that landed them there in the first place.
2. Give the Admin team the option of forcing a player to choose from a basic set of ships/equipment before release, instead of asking and/or beaming a player to where they need to change ship or else.
A basic selection of civilian ships:
Basalt, Eagle, BWT, or other civilian ship(s).
Most of the generic equipment:
Various Generic ID's, civilian fighter weapons, transport turrets 1-4, basic warship turrets, Standard CD/Thruster.
No it wouldn't solve/fix all the problems for everyone jailed, but it could help in certain cases.

No. It is a prison system. No need to sell anything there, since you can't leave without Admin help (unless you find the very well hidden and not showing on nav map jump hole out of there...). And more often than not, ships put in there has been stripped for cash and equipment. No funds, no possibility of a purchase, since there is a sirius wide law on all commerce taking place on stations : NO FRIGGIN' CREDIT!!!
Furthermore, people are put into the Bastille just as much to get them to initiate contact with an admin on the forums, as for direct punishments. The Bastille system works as intended, and no need to fix what isn't broken.
About all that really needs fixing is it needs to be used more.
IE: if someone claims 'no english' to avoid RP, always insta bastille them until they contact the admins (then punish them based on how true the statement was)
Ditto with some of the more flagrant greifer types, bastille them until they respond to the thread about their violation.
Sure they may only be in there a day, but with some of those (CAPONE and crew as an example) their mouthes may write them a perma vacation once they are in there.
