I think that flack guns are currently useless. They use tons of energy, they can be evaded very easialy, and they are not fully automatic.

To fix these problems I think that they need a faster refire rate of at least 4.00 ,be fully automatic ,and fixed so that they don't drain the cap ships reactor when fired. Also it would be great if smaller cap ships had this class of guns ,after all destroyers and gunboats are supposed to be the fighter killers for the protection of large cap ships aren't they.

Well, then general idea is you fire where there going to be, This is difficult AGAIN on larger battleships, because the flak literally explodes by the time it reaches the front of the ship.

But then again, every capital weapon seems to be "flawed" in the bombers' favor. But what do you expect from discovery? Don't you think the dev's would have noticed this?

Oh wait, didnt' they test only small battleships?

Right.

FIX FLACK FIX FLACK FIX FLACK FIX FLACK FIX FLACK FIX FLACK FIX FLACK.

Erm. Bombers have received ridiculously heavy nerfing compared to 4.84. One fighter can single-handedly take down four bombers without breaking a sweat. Now Fighters can effectively take down Bombers without them posing any threat, however they will still indeed pose a threat towards larger capital vessels, which they were designed to do. But what do you expect from discovery?

The Bomber's new weapons themselves say that they were developed as an answer to faster gunboats.

Tenacity and others had said that it makes them WORSE against gunboats due to the horrible projectile speed and BETTER against large caps, which is... sorta... you know. Opposite.

I disagree, I can hit even the fast gunships with em.

You make the shield-busting guns faster and they will be very effective against Fighters again. All fine by me if you want that, I will just go back to Bombers.

This is about Flac Guns not bombers.

Flac guns are the pray and pray type weapon, most effective when making position movements and you need to focus on where ya going. Hit the all fire key and you got the design purpose of the flac.

Oh I have 4 flaks on my Rh BS evely distributed along it length. Incidently they are precisely where Mjolnir allocated Heavy Turrets for that BS in his proposal to changing BS's. Those flaks work wonders for me. Extremely rare that I found someone trying to snipe out of the flaks range, very rare. I always have escort that keep 1k away from to handle those snipers whom inevitable come close to me.

Hmm, I think Flaks need a small buff, but they really aren't that bad.
