Greetings NTF, im Jim Young and im speaking for the DSM corporation. We have met in the Kansas System earlier, where it appears you had the current claim on mining rights, and we in DarkStar Mining wish to make a mutually beneficial agreement with you for mining rights in your system.
Ofcourse it is understandable that you might hesitate to such a request therefore previously today i made a quite generous contribution for what i understand is your sleepership project.
If we regretably cannot come to an agreement we will ofcourse respect your wishes and mine elsewhere.

That was faster than expected, Mr Young. Honestly surprised you even knew who we were, I suppose not all miners are as thick skulled as one another.
We've recently been undergoing a policy change regarding our overseeing of the various mining corps in the Kansas system. The DSM can choose to do things two ways...
The first option is a 5% donation from each mining transport to ]NTF[-Ammo.Dump.01 once it reaches its destination. Alternatively you could transfer fifty million credits per month to the same vessel. In addition, we would request that you stay away from the Dodge asteroid field - skirt the edge until you need to enter Magellan.
Talk these terms over with your corp and we'll see what works best.

As to knowing who you are, i have crossed paths with you before, aswell as i have my sources, most miners aren't stupid, that is everyone except BMM is quite... brilliant dare i say.
About the Dodge asteroid field... Are you afraid we will encounter some strange station wreck, since if yes then we have already done so..
Mr. Young, Greg Matthews here, the NTF's second-in-command. I'm replying because Enrico's currently busy on maneuvers.
To answer your first question, the 5% Enrico referred to is 5 percent of whatever profits you make off of iridium mined in Kansas. Of course, the lump sum payment of 50 million credits per month is also available -- if you're planning a larger-scale mining effort, that option would probably be simpler and more convenient for you.
As for that "strange station wreck" -- by which I assume you mean Junction -- we've currently taken it over and are using it as a base of operations, for lack of anyplace better to inhabit. We get rather nervous when non-NTF approach it, as it's still under repairs and we want to avoid any incidents (accidental or otherwise) that might result in damage or decompression. Try to stay at least 5 klicks from it in the future, please.

We have argued alot in the last couple of days and have decided the 50 million a month to be our best alternative, although we need you to make sure of some things before we commit to this agreement.
Firstly: No DSM employed vessel is to be taxed additionally in kansas or on hes way to wherever what we mine will be sold.
Second: You will have to make sure no DSM registered miners are pirated within kansas, we will ofcourse aid any NTF pilots in need of assistance in return.
Please reply to this message regarding any issues with this, and the arrangement of the first payment.

Not only are these terms acceptable but you have my word that we would never tax any group or corporation we do business with. It's not good for security or keeping both ends of the deal happy.
As far as protection from various pirate groups go, we'll inform the Lane Hackers that your bunch is not to be touched. The Rogues and Kaizoku gang are a different matter, as they're a bit more unruly and will do anything to make some cash on the side, but we try to keep them in line as best we can.
However, extensive as our patrols are, Kansas is a large system. I think you'd do well to employ some escorts of your own, though nothing larger than fighter escort at the moment.
Anything you can't handle, be it pirate, terrorist, or something else entirely should be reported to myself or another member of High Command.
Otherwise, we look forward to doing business with you, Mr. Young.
Signed,
Executive Commander Enrico Rossini, Neo Terran Front
