Kusari Outpost (texturing in process...)

Believe it or not. I started modeling this last year. Yes. It has taken me this long to make this. Well...not really, just forgot about it until a few days ago when I saw Igiss's notice.

Anyway the idea came to me when I was flying past one of those border stations in Kusari- the one at the top of Shikoku. Well anyway, I thought- do people actually dock with these? Unless you were in the KSP you would just pass on by and just ignore it.

This model is designed to replace the border station models in kusari (or that one in Skikoku anyway) so that people can have something new to look at in Kusari. Ive seen some of the other stations being submitted (like Dab's) and I think maybe im on the wrong track here but if you like it, ill try and finish it off.

A few things you should bear in mind:

-Its not finished (*facepalm*)
-Some of the design elements have been taken from the Kusari Battleship. Like the control tower, doors (the doors are actually copied from it and edited a little)
-Weapons are supposed to be:

1. On top of the control tower
   
2. On the top and bottem of both sides of the doors
   
3. On the middle side panel on both sides

I have a question to ask about it aswell. You the structure with the purple 'fans' stretching between the spokes- ok now look down, see those two gaps? Should I fill in the gaps with more 'fans' or just leave it as is?

Note: Some of you may be wondering if the doors open and close like the Kusari Battleships ones. To be honest I dont know. When I copied them it asked if I wanted to save animation. I said yes. But I doubt it will work in FL.

I really couldn't say more about this station than that. It's... Kusari. It looks great. It fits. It also looks great and looks like Kusari, did I mention that? Excellent job taking parts of Kusarian stations and ships and putting them together into something that looks quite like a Kusarian station would.

THIS is the sort of station modelling we need.

That looks very Kusarian, I have to admit, but aren't most stations built out of small pieces rather than being in one big lump?
