I just can't find one that I like. I like my trader character; I enjoy flying around to different places and trading, but I have yet to find a transport that I don't hate. I suppose I'm just not fond of flying bricks. Even the Armored Transport, with only a 480 cargo hold, handles terribly. I recently caved in and got a Container Transport and... ugh. It's the worst of the lot. I just wish there was a transport with half decent handling.

I dunno why I'm posting this. I guess I just feel like whining. :$

Well, while I'm at it, does anyone know of anything with a decent (1000+) cargo hold that handles reasonably well and (preferably) was 199 top thrust speed? I've tried a fair number of the transports, but haven't found one yet.

The best trading ship (when it comes to handling) I've ever flown with was The Beatle... cargo space averaged and the handling rather nice - good enough to do missions with (although it's more of a transport than a trading ship).

Behemoth does (2500 cargo), and I'm almost certain I've flown something else that did...

Of all the transports, the Behemoth is not the one I would expect to have full thrust. I would expect the Whale (hmm, never tried a Whale...).

Its like in Real life

A navy Destroyer handels much better than a 300+ meter container ship.

Or a Ferrari handles better than a 18 wheeler

I am not a native English Speaker, so i make grammar errors.
But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!

If your looking for a frieghter, The Camara is the slickest ship out there.
It has 345 hold, decent hull, can mount a lvl 7 shield, and can mount 6 fighter turrets. and it handles well, to

It seems what you're looking for is a battle transport that can hold it's own against VHFs (for a while at least)

I would have to say that the closest thing to this is the spatial. However, the cargo hold, while decent (120), is not good for long distance trade runs. It is more the "pick up all the loot you can find and then some" ship.

I have found that a properly piloted train can work nicely, if you can remember that you have a long thingamy hanging behind you.

As for what you are looking for, I don't think there is one.

I'll throw my vote behind the Kusari Liner here (the "Beetle). It has full thrust, just over 1k cargo, and looks cooool. Yeah, I'm a Star Trek nerd.

It can also cheese it's way through missions pretty easily. It flies backwards at -63, so the bad guys line up "in front" of you and get nibbled to pieces by the Beetle's lousy weapons array. No need to dogfight in a bad handling ship.

Duke... the Camara? It's the only small ship I've tried that handles so badly it routinely misses trade lanes and jump gates.

The Transport (1000 cargo) flies with 199 thrust speed, and it also haves great agility. It was my first transport ship ever:P
