After talking to various Corsairs in recent week, I have found out that there are people out there who think like me. I am not saying that my way of thinking and my ideas are the best ideas out there for Corsairs or in general, but isn't that how factions are born? Few people gather up, sharing the same idea.
To start off, but without getting into a wall of text, i'ld start with introduction.
>>Introduction.
As I mentioned already, after few talks it does not seem that I am the only Corsair around interested in cargo piracy and it also seems I'm not the only Corsair out there who doesn't need an alternative character in other faction to trade so my Corsair can live.
In my eyes, that means there are few awesome Corsairs out there who are self sustainable.
Lately Ivan has been losing patience with certain things, and my roleplay has been improving. I have figured out how to connect with Zoners and other factions and simply make them useful. By offering them actual credits to haul their goods for us I have established good relations with some of the zoners out there.
I'ld say it is a double win.
But why not make it even more interesting and include some people? I'm sure there are people out there who would agree with following:
>>What would we all do?
Well, this squad, that still lacks a name would be engaged in next things: Piracy of goods needed for Corsair empire.
Export of Corsair produced goods
Sabotage of enemy's operations, trading or mining.
Counter intelligence and espionage
Providing supplies of all Corsair bases.
This is something Corsairs already do, I know. But the way I want it done certainly involves more order, other factions and gives a chance for some quality roleplay and cooperation.
How would we do it then? Well, here's how it would be done.
>>Requirements and deeper info:
Ships in the squad (that still lacks a name) would be limited to pirate transports, pirate trains and gunboats.
- Titans, Gladiators and other fighting machines out there simply do not posses cargo hold big enough to bring anything useful to the table. Those ships are to be allied with and guided to achieve what you need. That does not make them any less of Corsairs, but it just doesn't make them fit for the job.
All persons participating would have a weekly quota of exported items (Artifacts and Black market munitions) and weekly quota of imported things needed by empire.
- It's nothing hard ofcourse, I believe a quota of 6000 artifacts exported is really not hard to achieve. It is two runs to Trafalgar, and it is profitable.
All persons participating would have a weekly quota of imported items they have to bring in.
- This part is easy as well. You've seen how I do it. Basically, it is hiring zoners and offering them bonuses for bringing the goods we need to certain bases. There are more than few commodities we really need, and receiving them weekly gives a good cooperation chance with some factions as Junkers, Zoners or perhaps some smuggling faction that is out there.
We aren't talking big numbers here. Imagine giving 2 million for every 4k of superconductors brought to Crete. And the quota is.. lets say 20k. I can sure afford this, it's 10million to cash out for some decent roleplay by whoever delivers it.
Now imagine there's more of those eager to pay. It doesn't have to be 2mil. It can be 1mil as well. 1 million for every 4k of counterfit software brought to Fes.
Things like these would be done once a week. We would probably set the quota based on number of people we have in this "squad" (should we do numbers? like 1st, 5th? 32nd?)
If I can afford 20k of food rations to crete, and pay bonus of 10mil in total, could two members afford 40k of food to Crete? Or 40k plutonium? It could be mixed.
All commodities used in war, shipped to our enemies would be fully intercepted.
- I know, it could be tad unfair, but I really do not understand. When molly catches me with full cargo, he can tell me to drop it all. Because I'm a Corsair and he's a Molly.
But to do that to a BowEx trader seems unfair. Why? Isn't Bretonia a bigger threat than Molly Republic. I dont think they're that much more fed than we are, they're not the ones with Cambridge.
So basically engine components, military vehicles, raw materials as gold and others carried by either rheinland transports, bretonia transports or independent transports should be stopped fully and claimed as much as you can.
Zoners, Junkers and others can fit in the category mentioned above. Example:
- If I ordered 20k quota of Plutonium to be delivered to Fes this week, I will probably stop every plutonium shipment heading towards omega 49, and either plunder it or direct it to Fes, until some Zoner or Junker or whoever actually replies in my thread and shows the ship's manifests that the quota for Fes is full.
I don't really have a reason to stop other Pltuonium shipments, especially those transported by some factions that are renown, like Congress, Consortium, TAZ or OSI.
Basically this is just an idea and a rundown of what I do already. I am just posting this here to see if there's anyone actually interested in doing it with me.
personally, we don't even have to share the planet, let alone time zone. This can all be worked out via forums. It is just interesting to give bit back to the nation that allows you to have as much fun as you do.
And let's face it, there's alot of people out there that dislike Corsairs for their mindless piracy. This could be their chance to try something different.
As far as I'm concerned the ships you create don't even have to be named with some special tag. A simple * will suffice if it's allowed to be used in the names. We'll come up with something once I see people are interested.
Keep in mind that inactivity for this will be dealt as well. There were cases before when something unofficial was formed that everyone go happy crazy on the bandwagon and it all dies three weeks later. It's pretty simple to monitor who is active who isn't, and ask or force inactive people to remove the "squad" mark from their ship name.
That's all guys. Thanks for reading.
Post either suggestions or comments here. I'll see will this go live within week.

These are the primary objectives of the black sails, ivan. i think we do our job pretty good so far
we gather the resources we can get our hands on and deliver to the bases where they need them most.
we gather them by piracy, and thus we sabotage the economies of our enemies.
we do not do smuggling though, and an organised smuggling ring would be good to create. concerning the espionage, junkers can do that for us - for a price
I know what some can do and what some can't do. However, I do not see Sails participating in some things I do, even if I invited everyone to order things from zoners and junkers to be brought to Corsairs.
That does not mean that Sails don't do their part, it only means there's room for more. And trust me I'm not stealing anyone's playerbase.
if someone knows how to roleplay, is willing to fly a transport do pirate and loves posting on forums and is ready to do so weekly, he would join Sails, TBH or any other Corsair faction on his own if he wants to, regardless of what I post here.

Agreed to that to do smuggling so we can remove our dependancy on other factions.
If do it we can bring our commodities on our own in return trip, also if the corsair elder will put some rewards to our own players, instid of paying other's, more people will do it as we also have the Pirate transport & pirate trains in our hands.
I don't know why do you need elders to post a reward for you? Why can't you be the first one to post rewards for others?
It's not like Counterfit software to fes doesn't pay well. It pays pretty damn well.
People just don't smuggle much or simply find being a zoner more profitable.
But that's beyond the point. It's really not "help sails be better" topic, because they're good on their own.
It's who would like to do things with me and participate in heavy forum roleplay
Senor,
We are the Sailors in Sails not the Treasure hunter's, we dont have enough fund on our own accounts to fund the transport & other things.
Due to recent activityies in the omegas / Sigmas, we are taking too much loss of ships & Equipements, Earlier one Sails / OPG can able to pirate so many traders, but those damn miners now always came with Gunboat Escorts, so we got nothing in our hands now.
We need more members in that location's senor....
Edit : - In my earlier post Elders means all the sair official faction leader's, as each faction have the Bank full of credits so use some of them like you are doing.
So, this is general idea for all Corsair factions and Corsair rp. So, sorry for lack of english speaking =)
1. Corsair Nation, we call it Corsair Empire. But we have no Emperor, that disturbing. So, idea is to reorganize current council (that 90% inactive) to something more suitable.
Im thinking about:
Emperor of all Corsair people
with, Corsair Lord's Senate (yes, im going from Roman Empire, because Corsairs are going to be Rom Empire's like faction at all)
So, 1 Emperor with couple of Lords behind him. Lords are - 1 seat per every Corsair faction that have more then 10 active members. Official faction is holding 1 seat anyway and getting additional one if it have more then 10 active members, 2 in total.
Now it takes ages to give decisions. With one emperor it will go faster, Lords are giving their opinions and Emperor can decide what to do even if no one give his opinion because was inactive.
That is considered government. Going to next.
2. Corsair bank. Yea, we can make corsair bank with few people access to it. It will be used to purchase goods from zoners\freelancers\indies\junkers to be delivered to Corsairs. Lets call it for example Corsair piggy so, lads are sending a cut from pirated\smuggled moneys to it and when it went to 100 million waterline someone is ordering big pizza
Access can be given to one trusted member. ( Corsair Treasurer ) Forum rp stuff etc etc etc
3. And finally we are coming to our part 3.
Here is a idea to split all factions\indies players of Corsair Empire to Legions like Roman Legions.
Example
we have:
2 dreads
4 bses
5 cruisers
all indies, so we are creating Legion <roman number> <legion's name> and put there 1 dread, 2 BSes and 3 Cruisers. And making a second Legion with same conversation.
purpose = force captains to make minimum forum RP with their caps to join the legion and become cool.
So, legions can have their prefix like Legio IX "Hispana Triumphalis" Home Guard.
So, here can be few Home Guard Legions, few Foreign Legions etc etc.
Quote:Legio I Germanica (Germanic): 48 BC70 (Batavian rebellion), Julius Caesar
Legio II Sabina (Sabine): 43 BC to circa 9 AD, early name of the Legio II Augusta
Legio III Cyrenaica (from Cyrenaica): probably around 36 BC to (at least) 5th century, Mark Antony
Legio III Gallica (from Gallia): around 49 BC to at least early 4th century, Julius Caesar (emblem: bull)
Legio IV Macedonica (Macedonian): 48 BC70 (disbanded by Vespasian), Julius Caesar (emblem: bull, capricorn)
Legio IV Scythica (from Scythia): around 42 BC to at least early 5th century, Mark Antony (emblem: capricorn)
Legio V Alaudae (Larks): 52 BC70 (destroyed in the Batavian rebellion), Julius Caesar (emblem: elephant)
Legio VI Ferrata (Ironclad): 52 BC to after 250, Julius Caesar (emblem: bull, wolf and Romulus and Remus); twin legion of Legio VI Victrix
Legio VII Claudia Pia Fidelis: 5144 BC, Julius Caesar; disbanded and re-formed by Vespasian as Legio VII Gemina
Legio VIII Augusta: 5948 BC, Julius Caesar, disbanded and re-enlisted by Augustus as Legio VIII Augusta
Legio IX Hispana Triumphalis (Triumphant): 5948 BC, Julius Caesar, disbanded and re-enlisted by Augustus as Legio IX Hispana
Legio X Equestris, also known as X Equestris (Mounted): before 5845 BC, Julius Caesar, disbanded, reconstituted by Lepidus, incorporated into the Legio X Gemina by Augustus.
Legio X Veneria (devoted to the goddess Venus): another name of X Equestris.
Legio X Fretensis (of the sea strait) levied by Augustus in 41/40 BC
Legio XI: 5845 BC, Julius Caesar (emblem: Neptune), disbanded, reconstituted by Augustus
Legio XII Victrix (Victorious): 57 BC45, Julius Caesar
Legio XII Antiqua (Ancient): reconstituted by Lepidus in 43 BC, named by Mark Antony, included in Augustus army as Legio XII Fulminata
Legio XIII Gemina: 5745 BC: Julius Caesar, later (41 BC) reconstituted as Legio XIII Gemina by Augustus
Legio XVIII Libyca (from Libya): disbanded 31 BC, Mark Antony
Legio XXX Classica (Naval): 4841 BC, Julius Caesar
So, here is much enough to separate all Corsair players to Legions.
:$
I support this. I'd even join if I can use that Corsair freighter. It is underused and it is hot. Though I think time zone is a problem for me. Central US, be difficult for me to get online with you I think.
This is a good idea. However, I must make an observation.
It sounds alot like a little group of unnoficial Corsairs called the Fallen, of which I am a proud member. Although we also do some credit piracy along with our cargo piracy, we do alot of what you suggest thsi new squad would do.
Plus, we most certainly put RP above all, so I assume that's a definite plus.
P.S. - We use the tag |~|, if you ever need to find one of us
P.S.S. - This thread makes me miss my OPG days. Hi from Talisman, Ivan
P.S.S.S. - Thinking on it, we dont have quotas and use fighters along with our freighters/transports, so that's another difference
Allright, the name is here. Los Fastidios (yeah, like the band)
It means nuisance, or bother, what describes a frikkin Coreo pretty well.
I will be opening three communication channel topics, and as far as I'm concerned anyone can post in them, as long as they stick to the guidelines.
There's absolutely no need to do these things. Yanno.. post how much did we claim ore, how much did we restock our bases and how much of the products heading towards enemies have we managed to plunder away, it is all really not needed or will ever be mandatory for a faction.
but listen, its a frikkin awesome thing for me.
It reflects some things in game, the faction's activity, or nation's activity. It gives ability to our neighbours to actually form some solid connections to us. It gives us all some good post count and it teaches some people the fundamental of roleplay and forum posting. It is up to you will you decide and join the Los Fastidios with your Ptrans, Correo or some other ship I mentioned above, but it should be really epic.
If you do decide to join, do not pm me, there's no need. Simply find the topic I will create, and follow the guidelines I'll post (probably the formating of text or something), and follow them weekly.
>>Since this topic was opened few people that have characters that aren't really Corsairs but do have connections to them have approached me. Yes, Gaians, Junkers with Corsair sympathies, FA, Hogosha, Order you can all post in there should you decide to join the community.
For example Islay base and Trafalgar base are perfect examples of the cooperation.
Fastidios can post how much artifacts do they smuggle there a week, and ofcourse the Gaians and Junkers can then proceed to report about the number of artifacts they have smuggled from there to Liberty or how much supplies have they took back to Corsair land.
Trafalgar example would be: Mox, or anything from Liberty as you smuggle off the artifacts.
Islay example would be: Artifacts smuggled onwards, or daisy flowers you have planted on Leon base >_>
But you get what I mean.
Los Fastidios will start on monday! Viva Corsairs!
