Catalina grew up on a Pirate Transport with her two brothers. Her parents flew all over the place looking for trade ships willing to help out with food and water. It was frustrating for the Cruz family as they only managed to eat a full meal on rare occasions, most of the time it was scraps.
When she was a teenager, she stole a Titan Fighter from a friend of hers, needless to say Catalina's friend was not pleased and came after her. After a long chase, Catalina killed her friend in cold blood. Catalina was fast becoming very good at the killing game and she started to escort her families Transport. She killed any Trade ship that refused to cooperate.
Catalina missed her home planet but, times are hard back there and she feels in control in space. When she turned 26 she was in the Omega's and found a Praetorian Bomber adrift, the pilot was dead so, she ejected him and towed the bomber back home. She took it as her own after the repairs were completed and sold her fighter on the black market. That put food on the table for a few months at least. Catalina's family are terrified of her as she has become a very brutal pirate and takes no mercy. Her mother fears she will either turn on them one day or end up dead to one of the many enemies of the Corsair Nation.
She eventually deserted her family to make it on her own, it was becoming too much to rob trade ships, feed herself and her family. All she wants is to satisfy either her blood-lust or her hunger, which ever is tormenting her the most.
