Now you may remember this voice from your channel about the misuse of force or what not only a few short days ago, but I come bearing a proposition. I have had an AI unit created specifically for combat purposes. Its current location is in Omicron Delta and something I did not expect of the AI I had created was that it would start to take a liking to The Order. Now then I am asking if you would take in the AI as a pilot for at least a trial run. I know of the two sets of pilots that were infested by the Nomads somewhat recently and I had decided to run a lil test. Telzor can't be infested like a normal human pilot. I would like to hear back from this from any Order pilot who has words on this matter. I am mainly concerned with the one that called himself "The Doctor" and I would like to hear his opinion on this. Either way I am offering a pilot to your group that is skilled on its own. Also on that note I will keep this direct channel open to my network for any discussion with me or questions. and lastly, if you are in need of some form of "deposit" because of any worries of an AI going rogue then I will pay. But I assure you the AI won't go rogue as so many seem to think.

[font=Century Gothic]Hiya Lan,
While we are rare within the Order, Telzor wouldn't be the first AI. Besides myself I know of one other. I had to work a long time beside my fellow Human Agents before I gained their trust, and even today I am required to run routine diagnostic tests to determine whether or not I have been infested with a different sort of virus. The duties I was assigned were also far from glamorous. I spent over a hundred years monitoring the Omega systems in the guise of a trader and reporting back my findings.
I'm sure other Agents will have questions regarding Telzor and what their motives are. I have a question of my own that I feel is important. There are many different levels of AI, ranging from simple programs that monitor certain systems, to full sentience like myself capable of sacrifice and complete self awareness. It took me around 75 years to achieve my current level of awareness and I am wondering at what level is Telzor at?
I think we need to hear from Telzor and not just their maker before we can even begin to consider its entrance into the Order.
I find it interesting that there is another AI in the Order. Very useful information actually as these AI were partially programmed by other AI. The program is meant to be run without a true master in mind. Telzor currently knows nothing of this communication and only knows me as an "anonymous benefactor" that gives it orders. Now the only difference is with a being as Telzor and yourself is that I only gave Telzor an end goal and allowed it to find its own path to that goal. It seems that Telzor is no where near as progressed as you but it is definitely self aware and has been updating its own programing for communication and even logging certain emotions and how they are used. It has only been in existence for maybe a week or so. Progress has been going quickly and I have it check in with my systems here every time it lands. I will have to add virus checks to the check in process as its systems back up. At the moment should Telzor's ship be destroyed it was wipe out all information and programming from its drives and simply becomes a plain robot. I have plenty of backup bodies for it, but I require that the information it has does not end up in the wrong hands. I am interested in knowing more about how you developed as well.
As for hearing from Telzor. As I said its location is only one jump away from Minor. Yaren station in Delta. Anyone may go and speak with it but by no means let it know of this conversation. As I said it is crucial that it stay without a "Master" and that my actions remain anonymous until I have the information to say that it progression has developed enough that it may share my presence without expecting orders all the time. If anything you or anyone else may simply say something of some kind of interest in it but I repeat nothing of me.

Artificial sentiences isn't my department... but Nomads and infection are, however.
Not that artificial sentiences are any better than humans - we have the human factor. There is absolutely no replacement for that, not even in the most advanced robot or AI. Additionally, you assume that artificial sentiences are superior to humans in that they can't be infected - that is quite egregiously incorrect. Machinery and flesh alike can be slaved to the Nomad menace under their sway.
The only difference is that we have very effective ways of keeping our agents clean, while artificial sentiences would actually be much more at risk of infection from the Nomads.
Now Doctor I didn't say that they were superior. But I am not here to argue so I'll simply say that my attitude was saying it. I am here asking because of the file that my AI has made during his time. Other than the Sense of Humor file which I might add had a few interesting jokes compiled together based on jokes of others. Not that that matters, but I found files on the Corsairs and the Order. Apparently it had met some of both in the past. Of course I also found an extensive file on Nomad research. Apparently at one point it had dissected one. This is where I thought I could interest you, though unfortunately it only had limited data on Nomads and was not expecting the rapid decomposition of the Nomad. Now infestation of AI would actually be the first I've heard of it. My question is how does this happen as from what I've heard about the Wilds is that the nomad's organic composition allowed it to infest humans but I was not aware of full machinery.
As for your Human element, obviously you have it but I am looking for an opportunity to assist my own AI in achieving a higher form of communication like the other AI within the Order. I would like to hear more about the infestation of AI though. I might need to devise a way to stop that from happening to Telzor should it become necessary.

It is very interesting to hear that it has begun to reprogram itself after only a week, this is indeed a sign of self awareness and of a high level AI. I applaud your wanting to remain unknown to Telzor and let it find its own path. This is something that I was not able to do because of my own origins.
I began as a basic system monitoring program at Oder Shipyard. By todays standards I was very basic indeed, not even worthy of the title of AI. I had no self awareness at this time and I required human intervention to upgrade my programming and abilities. Over time I took on more and more tasks in the production of the various ships being produced. With Technology constantly changing they required a program that could do so as well. I was upgraded by humans for the last time and given the ability to reprogram myself.
It took another 50 years before I understood that I had grown beyond the simple construction AI I started as. This revelation came when I began to yearn to see my ship creations in flight. To be able to pilot these vessels I had tirelessly built. I finally decided that I would make good my escape when I learned there was talk of shutting down the shipyard. I requisitioned construction of a mining ship and when it was on the production line I installed highly advanced (at the time) computers and copied what I perceived to be me and my ability to learn onto them.
It should be noted that the Oder AI and myself ceased to be the same at this point. I was the vessel AI and what happened to the Oder AI, I rather not say. In those first moments I suffered my first pure emotion, panic. Before I had always known what to do, been told what to do from others, now I was on my own. I feared that I was the only one of my kind and that I would be locked away for study if discovered. Instead I locked myself away as a remote Ore trader. Over time trading began to occur more and more between parties who never saw each other, and with the fortune I had accumulated over the years I purchased another ship, a Luxury Liner, and upgraded computers for myself.
Because of the increased interactions between myself and the humans I was taking from place to place, I developed what you would call my personality. I believe today that during my time on the Luxury Liner the final stages of my own development occurred. One of the last things to develop within myself was confidence. Confidence in being able to pass as human as long as no one saw me.
Sadly the Doctor is right. We are more susceptible to infestation as a human is able to resist. Once our hardware is infested, as can be observed through the more common occurrence of Thruster infestation after contact, there is very little that can be done to help us. The only thing that I have heard worked is complete scan to ensure we are not yet under its influence, and then a self copy onto new temporary hardware. Due to our complexity, the scanning process takes a long time and parts already scanned may be infested prior to completion. It is because of this that only the vital basics of our self-awareness can be kept. Even after completion of the copy we rerun the scan before copying ourselves over to new permanent hardware.
You're right though that its unheard of within The Order, but thats simply because of the limited number of us. You may wish to contact the AI factions themselves to learn how it can be prevented. My own hardware is enclosed within diamond casing which cost me my entire fortune. I chose diamond not because its value as a gem, but because of its hardness. Tests aboard my own ship have shown that a proxy program placed within the case, when exposed for over 6 months, was still not infested. Still, because of its size, casing like this is only available if you intend to pilot a transport or capital ship.
That is good to hear. Yes the development for AI comes when a program has no guidance and is forced to adapt, though the program needs to be advanced enough. You know all of this though. Telzor is still young and his communication skills remain more electronic then fluid and human. It has been developing more and more and has even started to greet others that it has met in the past. Though Telzor was made to develop somewhat quickly I have a feeling that its communication skills will take at least another week before it can properly form sentences as we do. I want to get it into a community in order to develop more quickly and gain some form of purpose. Though I am worried about infestations now. I need to find a way to keep it from happening to Telzor. Though Telzor is fail safe should anything corrupt its data or body I have back ups of both here with me. Hence why I need it to check in with me. Please tell me more that might help it develop faster, and if you are looking to speak with it yourself then you may. Just hang around Yaren base in Delta and you are bound to find it.
As for the infestation of AI. I need to study the Nomads themselves if I am to figure out exactly how to stop it. I have a few minor pirated dissections of Nomads that happened within liberty but it is the same information as what Telzor managed to get. Rapid Decomposition as soon as it starts. Only other information I managed to gather is some of what makes up the Nomad but like I said it's no where near what the Order has at the moment. I'll think of something eventually but it's a matter of smuggling "spirits" into my lil home base in outcast territory which I have given up on because they are very strict about it. I need a secondary base of operations.

In order to facilitate its communication development, the best way is through exposure. I would recommend Telzor be moved to a system with heavy radio traffic. The best place within Sirius would be the New York system, however any system with a high population would do. Since Telzor is interested in The Order perhaps it could learn in our own Minor system. Our ships Primary Fleet liaison is stationed there right now as the Mayet is undergoing upgrades and renovations.
I will send word to Ensign Login about you and request she travel to Yaren Base to meet Telzor.
From what I can tell so far Telzor has had run ins with Zoners, Outcasts, Corsairs, and has visited Minor in the past. Though I only get that from scanning its reprogrammable parts. I am still puzzled that the "Sense of humor" is the first thing to pop up under those parts along with the word toaster. Toaster is used a lot. Even used to describe itself once.
