Name: Kaze Nelson Reidman Dagon. Rank: Colonel and Quorum member.
Birthplace: Eaton Square Fields, Chelsea Sector, New London. Birthdate: 12-08-794 A.S. (24 years old). Education: Wellington College Diploma(Middle School), Degree in Political and International Relations from West Point Academy (under a different name at the time), Officer's War College at Sulawesi Station and First Degree Medical Course at Minato Harbor.
Known Family: (Closest family) Father: Andrew Hayashi Dagon. Mother: Tara Nelson Reidman. Brother: Meallan Nelson Reidman Dagon. (Farther family)
Aunt by maternal great-grandmother side: Her Royal Highness Queen Carina of Bretonia.
Family Background Check:
Andrew Hayashi Dagon - Ex LSF agent. Blood ties by the mother side to the Blood Dragons. Born in Liberty. Injured during an attack to it's family vessel in Kyushu. Resides now in Kyoto as an technological weapons expert.
Tara Nelson Reidman - Ex BAF lieutenant. Lost her parents in a New Tokyo pirating incident. Rescued by Blood Dragons from certain death, she was trained by them until she reached 20 and was found by her grandfather (father side). Resides now in Kyoto as the Commander of the Yoarashi, a Kyoto Guardian Destroyer.
Brother: Meallan Nelson Reidman Dagon - Former Order Agent, Star Colonel of Hellfire Legion. Expert on reverse engineering technology and close combat weaponry. Current location: Liberty.
Extra Data:
Due to her mother (Tara) resigning the charge of Duchess of Newcastle as she left BAF in order to lead her family to safety in Kusari, and since Meallan Reidman Dagon rescinded such right, Colonel Kaze Nelson Reidman Dagon is now the only person alive to be considered of hereditary peerage to the Duchy of Newcastle. Further analysis shows the Nelson-Reidman bloodline to mingle deeply within the Bretonian Royal blood, as Tara Nelson Reidman is the direct descendant of Duchess Margaret Nelson Reidman, sister to Royal Consort Elizabeth of Bretonia, wife to His Royal Highness George V of Bretonia.
As she is now a Colonel and the only foreigner Quorum member within the Colonial Remnant Republic, it might poses as a gigantic problem if she ever takes up the title due to the diplomatic stance between both nations, even although Her Royal Highness Queen Carina of Bretonia always treated her as a niece as it were in Colonel Dagon's younger days.
Agent J: Greetings, miss Dagon. *Smoke* Kaze: Greetings.. Humm, sir. Agent J: Justice will suffice for now. *Puts out the cigar* Well.. *Shuffle his eyes through the papers* It seems you had a busy life, no? Kaze: *Grins* You can say that, Mr. Justice. Agent J: You know why you are here? *Looks around and sees the full complementary Colonial Marine unit around the room.* Kaze: I think 5 men just for me is a little too much. *Shrugs* I am not dangerous to you. Agent J: That doesn't mean you aren't dangerous.. *Pulls out a paper* Now.. Let's talk about your Bretonian connection. *Puts the paper right in front of the woman* Kaze: *Looks at the paper* Yes, what about it? I can't be blamed if my mother took the role to protect Bretonia and it's people and just because i was born there. Agent J: No you can't. Correct. But.. *Pulls out another paper, a family tree* Your connection to the Queen.. Plus... *Pulls out a laser pistol and aims at the woman* Kaze: *Slaps the agent's wrist to make him loose the grip of the gun and slaps the gun away* Agent J: *Grins while signaling the marines not to move* Plus your ex-LSF training.. Eh. Why do you really want to be a Colonial Citizen after all? Kaze: *Gulps* Guess you guys won't take a nice story.. Very well.. *Sighs* It all started about twenty something years back. Even before the Nomad Wars. Agent J: *Checks if the hidden recorder is working flawlessly and listens* Kaze: My father.. is an ex-LSF agent. Weapons expert and a tech by heart. He was sent undercover as a Hacker to Alpha as several reports came that a certain.. party of the Outcasts were creating several technological advancements. He came back with an A.I. Full Battle module. This big. *Kaze made a round movement with her hands with the size of an old sol system-basketball size* Agent J: *Raises an eyebrow* That's impossible. The smallest A.I. Battle module known to Sirius occupies one quarter of this room. Kaze: Not this one. I have a clone built into my ship if you want to see. *Justice writes something down on his data pad* Well.. As my father returned from Alpha with an outcast escort, unaware that he brought what was the only prototype with him, they were caught by an BAF Lieutenant and her wing. My mother. My father couldn't blew his cover, so they engaged the BAF wing. At the end only she remained against my father and another outcast. She managed to blow up the outcast and severely damage my fathers ship. His cargo hold was blown up by a mine and the A.I. was lost into space. As he fled, she tractored the spoils. Not really knowing what it was, she decided to keep it as a bargaining chip in case of future problems instead of delivering it to the BAF High Command. Agent J: That was a bad call. For her, i mean. *Grins* Kaze: *Shrugs* That was her Blood Dragon training kicking in. To keep some kind of asset in case of need. *Sighs* I could go for hours saying what happened next.. But bottom line is.. My family is being targeted. By that outcast.. party and by the LSF. My father got injured as we fled from Bretonia to seek a safe heaven with the Blood Dragons. And we are tired of running. My mother is, my father is and so my brother and i.
We are on the offensive now. My brother is well hidden and researching the Outcast-Nomad connection. The A.I. and the sudden rise of their technology is proof of that. My parents are under the protection of the Blood Dragons. Where no outcast or LSF can reach. And i am here.
To be in the Colonial Fleet and get some.. fresh intel and to keep tabs on the Outcast movements. I got the dodgy end of the job, since i'm no expert in tech. All i have is my mother skill, my father's silver tongue and my family resolve and stuborness to keep going. *Sighs* Agent J: *Thinks for a while and pulls her application form* You're in. In the condition that you will let us take a look on your.. A.I. and to keep us posted of any development regarding your.. family business. *Chuckles* Eh..Anyone who wants to carve the outcasts a new one is welcome. *Rises up and offers a hand for her to shake* Welcome to the nightmarish battlefield that is the Taus, nugget.
Agent J speaking. For what the CIS could find, her story checks out. Although no proofs whatsoever of that outcast technological development group was found and our failure to infiltrate the LSF, all the facts stick. Dates, places and happenings recordings were found and our contacts with the Blood Dragons does confirm it.
My say is positive on this case. She shows good talents we can use to our advantage and her loyalty can be gained. All we need is to keep a close eye on her so that she doesn't strand herself on Alpha one day looking too much.
This is Doctor Gregor Garden.
After five interviews with the subject Dagon, Kaze, i have found she shows a great aptitude to hide her true feelings.
While she shows a cool and controlled visage, her inner self is in constant turmoil.
For what i have obtained she is almost a copycat of both her parents and a result of her early strict bretonian education.
The cool, diplomatic and military exterior results from the influence of her father, some from her mother and the typical high-ranked social conventions present in the Bretonian nobility and yet the raging, almost crazed yet honorful feelings of hostile destruction comes from her brief tenure with the Blood Dragons, the history of her family and the heavy influence of certain episodes of her mother going 'White Storm' as she putted. Looks like her mother has some episodes where she easily brakes her cool and holds no limit to deliver punishment to who wronged her.
The so called 'breaking' events are not so recurring on the subject, although in some bad days, the mood of the subject may hit the gutter and then a copycat of the episodical events of her mother will appear.
Although all the military ranks consider her a great asset to our cause, i advise a close eye on her. Bad mood can be used as an indicator to the possible occurrence of these.. homocidical events.
For more instructions in how to deal with these episodes please refer to attached file 'How to deal with Homocidical Women in Bloodlust rage and equivalents'.
Her diplomatic views of certain affairs is also a matter of interest.
While she is just and really hates piracy, she can compromise and follow orders even if against her principles.
As i asked why she gave a reply: "I am a daughter and a sister first and foremost. And everyone in my family is a soldier." Even although she follows orders, she won't obey anything that might jeopardize her family. That i noticed.
My full report follows in the attachment. I approve said subject to undergo Colonial training regime and i recommend her to be placed on the 44th Battlegroup. 88th would bore her out of her mind and jeopardize her family objective thus provoking a possible break point with the Fleet, 41st is already booked and full and she has no sufficient scientific and technological capabilities to fit in the 53rd.
*Yawns* Evening High Command. Just got out of my first 24 hour patrol day. Very fruitful one, i do have to say.
So at first, i exited Java and faced myself with a known merc hired by the ICMG, - Transponder: Jordy.Meller -. After a while and some easy chat with the merc, one (probably high on carda) outcast - Transponder: Leonardo_Nonanci - came goading us on his BW lightfighter. As his ship didn't shown any kind of threat to any lawful on the area, we merely ignored him and continued to talk about some pertinent matters regarding battle tactics.
Not soon after, a Cartel, - Transponder: [Cartel].BW-L.SnakeEyes -, came too, this time in a Switchblade (BW line Heavy Fighter vessel), and of course offered his support to the rambling outcast.
*Rolls eyes* They probably thought that their superior agility would save them. Well.. They thought wrong.
First, the Cartel went down.. Because if there is something i like to do first is to kill the ones that like to run away.. And Cartel have plenty of them (CRP44-S07-01).
Not soon later, as we pursued the fleeing LF.. After some quick words while in pursuit, i've must riled him so, that he turned and came at me, head on.
*Grins* Well.. His mistake, for it was something i had plan since the beginning (CRP44-S07-02).
Not even 5 minutes later as we were discussing anti light craft loadouts, another Cartel showed up, asking for revenge, - Transponder: [Cartel].CM.Mad_Monty -.
As i left him so that Jordi Meller could collect the bounty on Cartel ships offered by the ICMG, i stood aside and let them fight.
Go guess. Mad Monty got home in an escape pod (CRP44-S07-03) and Mr. Meller is richer now.
Later on, as i hooked up with a entering on duty patrol (=CR=Contra[44th], =CR=SylvanFairy[44th]), we detected some troublemakers on T-23 long range probes and thus we went to remove the threat.
This new group appears to be an under-talented mingle of outcast rookies, the TheO-Team.. Although even under-talented, some bombers and Sabres might be a threat to our people and miners present on T-23. So i decided to take them out of commission.
As they fled back to Cali, i decided to press on the attack even with the Cali turrets zooming on us.
And go figure, they decided to attack me. Good, is all i got to say. I do hate to destroy them by the back, so when it happens by the front (CRP44-S07-04), it's a lot better.
The other one ran to dock under our fire (CRP44-S07-05). Maybe he got scared or something.. But.. Eh.
So, as the Sargeant and Corporal finished their patrols, i hooked up with the new patrol group, led by Lieutenant Babchenko, and the first action was to intercept a cardimine smuggler, (CRP44-S07-06). =CR=Nibbler gave the killing shot as it tried to flee. Unfortunately, the explosion wave knocked out my gun-cam and i was forced to dock on Java for some quick repairs.
And as later we were locking down T-23, we detected an Mandolarian unit - Transponder: MM~Tory.Lane -..
As we all know, they have accepted a contract by the 101st on our ships. So i sent a respond in kind. =CR=Duke[44th] stayed on T-23 with Silber to access further threats and to be the fast response team in case of pirating and smuggling operations.
As i engaged the MM in single combat (as to show her and her own that we have the honour that mercs like the Mandalorians don't possess) i did short work of the MM's hull. Poor bastard never knew what hit her when my mine crashed on her cockpit (CRP44-S07-07).
As the current group patrol was finishing it, the current officer on SWAC (Spaceborne Warning and Control) duty, =CR=Silber[44th], alerted us of incoming Vagrant Raider units, - Transponder: VR-James.LaBrie[OL]'' - and - Transponder: VR-Jordan.Ruddess[WL]'' -, on T-29. Thus, as i connected with =CR=SylvanFairy[44th], we proceeded to question them why they were here.
As a long talk came where implied threats and orders to leave from both sides.. And a shady proposal to Sergeant Mirja that she would accept if i wasn't there, i ordered to take down both Bayonet class vessels (CRP44-S07-08).
Both of them focused fire on Sergeant Mirja and managed to force her to eject.
With her pod in my hold, instead of retreating, i wanted to make sure that the Vagrant Raiders would remember their travel into the Taus and what it means to mess with the 44th and the Colonial Fleet.
First to feel what is like to face me was LaBrie. I dried his ship out of bots and bats so much that he now owns a life debt to his bat/bots supplier. Then, with a nice shot on one of his mines, his hull buckled and he ejected (CRP44-S07-09).
Then, Ruddess felt a sharp pang on one of his pretty Bayo wings due to one of my mines and veered out of control (CRP44-S07-10).
And i was battling those two, one Outcast came to check it , - Transponder: Magician.[101st-M] - and also a Slaver, - Transponder: Poseidon.III -, which unfortunately i couldn't stop due to my 'current' business with the 101st, (CRP44-S07-11) even although i managed to scan him.
But alas, with the Magician i played, i turned and i nudged him into one of his mines. The Charon does make some nice explosions (CRP44-S07-12).
And as i pursued the Slaver to T-23, my ship engines gave out. Tisiphone diagnosed that several components were on the verge of structural breakdown.. Tired so to speak. He, i even managed to tire my engines today. So, i limped back to Java where i now am beginning repairs on the Nyx engines and Seargeant Mirja is waiting for transport back to Sulawesi for debrief. An ISE unit is bringing replacement parts and i should be good to fly out in the end of this afternoon. After some rest, of course. I am not that suicidal.
Subject: LN-Panzerfaust destruction. Confidential files OCO876187 and OCO985895 removed from internal data center prior to said destruction.
Greetings, Commander. Special Agent Linus Russel here in charge of SOT-R76.
We arrived at the spot where the Panzerfaust imploded, at the Juneau Shipyard in Alaska. Got to say.. A mess. The shipyard itself was severely damaged by the explosion of the Dreadnought class vessel.
Admiral Christopher Phelps was evacuated safely before the Panzerfaust reactors reached critical and at least 30% of the personnel is alive and being 'questioned' as we speak by my team and several others.
Even so, 754 persons are uncounted for, and mostly suspected dead by now.
Now, onto the real problem at hand.
At 02:12 this morning, our ISC (Information Security Center) on Alaska gave warning that someone with an unauthorized access had accessed and removed said files from the data center that was on the Panzerfaust. This data center mostly had old mission reports and was being transferred to our data bank in Manhattan as it was scheduled for tomorrow, as also the Panzerfaust finished retrofitting some new redundant systems.
As we speak, Logan here, just finished decoding some intel from whatever debris we can get..
*Silence*
Hmm, looks like the last two persons to leave the Panzerfaust, and in a hurry i might add since they stole two Guardians, was Liberty Navy Lieutenant Mell Jackson and one.... what, Logan, are you sure?
*A muffled 'yes sir' is heard on the background*... ahm.. Liberty Security Force SO Agent Kaendra Jackson. Hmm, sir, this piece of intel... I know Kaendra... Damn. Sir, i do have good knowledge of both, they are brother and sister...
*Silence*
Well, for what it seems, they left the dreadnought not two minutes before the warning klaxxons sounded the emergency. *Typing sound* I do not have any registry of them leaving the system. Tony, get me the Security Officer of this system, i want to know what got in and out this past day. *Another muffled 'yes, sir' is heard*
Hmm, as they are the most probable cause of the files theft, i hereby ask for level S5 clearance to access the copy in the Data Repositories. *Suddenly steps are heard and someone says 'Sir, you have to read this.'* One second.
*Silence*
Damnit. One of the debriefed security personnel aboard the Panzerfaust.. said that both Agent and Lieutenant Jackson were detected accessing the data center and fought their way out of the dreadnought. All 4 Levels from the Systems Deck to the Bay Deck. *Sighs* I do not understand this sir. I know those two, they aren't terrorists.
*Silence* My best guess for what have transpired in lack of further evidence is that they entered the dreadnought using their security clearance and made way to the data center and removed the files. Then as they were detected, they were forced to blow up the dreadnought or they wouldn't be capable of fleeing the Panzerfaust.. And the explosion also provided them much needed cover. *Silence* Sir, i reiterate that i must be granted access to the copies of the files that were stolen if we want to find them both.
*Steps are heard and another man arrives 'Sir, the Alaska SO reported'*
Give me that... *Silence*
Looks like the Order made an incursion in system at the same time the Panzerfaust was breached...
*Sighs* Looks like they are working for the Ord- Wait. What's this?
*Silence*
Sir, a small Guardian managed to flee the system through the New York Jumpgate as oposed.. Yes, it is the Guardian that Agent Jackson stole. She must be still in system or moving through Liberty. *Sound of typing is heard* I'm issuing a warrant for her.... Done.
*Sounds of a chair moving* I'm ordering to hurry up the proceedings here so that i can quickly dispatch our teams to New York and find where Kaendra Jackson is headed.
Russel out.

LSF High Command addendum: Kaendra Jackson and Mell Jackson were found guilty of treason and thus due to the destruction of a Liberty Dreadnought class vessel and the murdering of 753 Libertonians in service of the Liberty Navy, they are bountied now for the sum of One Hundred Million Credits each.
They are to be presented to an official court of Law and if God's willing, sentenced to death.
Special Agent Russel's request for S5 Clearance to access files OCO876187 and OCO985895, denied.

--Subject: Patrol and Encounter report, CRP44-S06--
Greetings High Command, this is Major Kaze Dagon reporting. As of late this week, due to my recent promotion, i was unable to even do a decent patrol due to the amount of paper pushing that i was forced to do.. And they say high ranks is the easy life. *Sigh*
But no more, for tonight i managed to pull a long patrol at last, and by the gods.. What a patrol.
As i left the halls of Sulawesi to do a slight recon, i was suddenly called to deal with a slaver crossing T-23.
=CR=Silber[44th] and myself on the =CR=Kami[44th] managed to lay a trap to a known slaver - Transponder: S.S.Glory - and with some persuasion skills, i bought the slaves using the money from my family funds, 3.000.000 credits (CRP44-S06-01). Also, luckily, an OSI transport, passing nearby, - Transponder: OSI-Centurion -, collected the slaves and was escorted to Minato Harbor where they were released.
All 3400 former slaves. Thus, without bloodshed, 3400 free souls are now being taken care off by the CRS and CMU (Colonial Medical Units).
Later on, i docked at Java, and switched to my Nyx, =CR=Kaze[44th]. Corporal Wolfe on the Silber continued to keep track of the incoming units on T-23 by keeping a close eye on our forward probes.
While we were watching a known Hogosha pirate, - Transponder: General.Yarr -, being destroyed once more by one - Transponder: Bloody.Sunrise -, and as we all kept an eye on the fight, suddenly the probes went wild near Cali, as a Ranseur Dreadnought vessel, - Transponder: MNS-Defiant -, appeared.
It drifted to the fight location, near T-29 and after the Hogie was down, it kept there... With two escorts.
After i traded some words with the merc Bloody.Sunrise, i hired him, so i had some negotiating leverage. Silber and a SMP unit, - Transponder: SMP|Sgt.Emma.Leroy -, provided some more fire power (CRP44-S06-02). As the inevitable happened, we attacked since that big sore in the Taus didn't wanted to move.
Unfortunately, Silber and Sgt. Leroy were shot down by the missiles of the Ranseur, and the merc fled.
So i was left alone against two escorts and a Ranseur. As i fought and kept my distance for the Ranseur fire, - Transponder: [Cartel].MM.Crisco.Colo - went down with a nice razor that depleted his shield and some choice mines on his way (CRP44-S06-03).
I turned to the next escort, while still dodging the turret fire from the MNS and with a good razor, - Transponder: Leonardo.Nonanci -, was the next one to suck some space dust. Poor thing never knew what hit him (CRP44-S06-04).
Meanwhile, a sabre appeared, (my gun cam was momentarily disabled due to a missile explosion nearby), the poor sod thought it would be nice to engage a lady.. - Transponder: Serseri-Faruk - also went down easily, as the outscum ate some mines right into his cockpit.
After, i threw some choice words to the Ranseur, i coaxed him not to attack me by calling him escortless and talentless.. Since he needed a Ranseur just to be a nuisance (CRP44-S06-05).
So we parted ways and i went to Java. As you can probably see, an ICMG unit, - Transponder: ICMG[SL17]Kernite -,was present in some of the engagements but did not engaged or fired a single shot.
So, as i started writing this report, go figure. Men. Pfah! *Pouts*
If you all recall, an Agmen sir did appeared to me a couple of weeks ago and promised to take me to dinner (CRP44-S06-06). As we were getting ready to depart, he was called to deal with a... emergency.. Pfah! Men!
*Silence for a couple of seconds*
Sorry for that.. I lost my composure. As i waited for his return, - Transponder: [Cartel].CM.Nexx -, came once more to try to kill me...
Threatening with slavery on Malta and such.. The typical thing. Well.. (CRP44-S06-07).. He went down.
Seems the almighty Sabres have an alergy to mines.
As i waited some more for the Agmen character.. Which didn't came.. *Sighs in disapointment*
I'm finishing the report now on my room on Java.
I'll turn in for the morning here and i'll be back at Sulawesi for debrief at 1500 SUT.
She opened her eyes and the automatic grogginess alongside a mean pain ache soon found way into her brain.
Her eyes focused and the not so familiar ceiling of room C-Z81 in Ames came into view.
As the slow dull ache cursed her body, small, but yet nagging sharp pain came from all her cuts and bruises from her last Kusari visit.
She silently and forcefully rose up from bed with one hand to her head in hope that the grogginess could be rubbed off.
She laid her hand down and all she found was the empty space right at her side.
Jordy once more left without a word. Nothing she wasn’t used too. “Only the gods really know what is going through that man’s head during the morning.” She thought.
Her C-PDA rang with a message. It was her contact within Manhattan. “All is in place. The package with the mission reports is waiting for you inside Liberty Gunboat LNS-Wolfcrest. Board it, destroy it, up to you. Just don’t forget, we’re even now.”
Kaze smirked at the message. “My time here on Liberty is almost finished.”
As she lazily tried to leave the bed, one cut in her thigh got opened again.
The pain shot right to her head and made her wince.
She growled. “Not before i kill the one that put the bounty on my head.”
One hour later, after a very long shower, she finally entered her Eagle and punched in the access code to open the cockpit.
As usual, Tisiphone, asked: “What comes during a storm?”
Kaze replied the password, looking at the now active guns trailing her. “War.” “…… Face and voice recognition completed… Security protocols disengaged.. Welcome back, Kaze.” It replied. “Good to be back, Tee.” Kaze replied, opening the cockpit. As she sat, Kaze got her belt in place. “Tee, load up all systems, make a check, and get ready to depart. We need to hunt a gunboat.”
Her eyes were fixed in the daily countdown that was pulsing in the console. “We don’t have much time left before the whole 44th descends and comes to get me.”
*Beep* “Hey love.. *SCHOOM* Sorry, a little busy.” “ Where are you?” Jordy sighed. “Tee, se- *SCHOOM*nd him the cords and give him details.”
Kaze made a hard turn and dropped a mine.
“Don’t spam mines until i’m there, okay?” Jordy said with a smirk on his face.
Kaze rolled her eyes, not believing the sixth sense he had when it comes to her. “Yeah yeah, don’t worry, love. “ She said while unleashing her triple Archy/Excal/Guardian combo.
“Well, that was fun.” Kaze whiffed after the contacts list only contained Jordy. “Hm.. Don’t see where engaging two Guardians and a Bomber alone is fun.” Jordy replied. “Ey, they shot me first. I was merely doing a system scan.” Kaze clicked her console and started to make systems check. “And what are you looking for? Last time you did a system check, we went to that god forsaken place you call Iota.” Jordy yawned. “Err… I’m looking for a certain gunboat.” Kaze scratched her head sheepishly, remembering their trip to Iota. Wasn’t fun for Jordy, to say the least. “Which one?” He asked. “Wolfcrest.” She replied. “Didn’t we shot that one once?” Jordy’s Eagle approached Kaze’s by her left side. “Yeah, he escaped, remember?” Kaze looked at the holo view of the systems, showing all green. “Hm. What’s so special about it now?” “Need something it’s carrying.” Kaze checked the contents of spoils of war, with two Navy ‘boys’ pods locked on her hold.
Jordy sighed. “More stuff for your family ‘business’?” The weapons system of Jordy’s ‘babe’ as he calls it, went offline. “Yeah.” Chuckles were heard from Kaze. “With your nose for trouble, it will be accompanied by a dread and a couple of cruisers. And the whole LSF fighter wing.” Jordy had that feeling that this would be a long day. “Got to say, i’m a profitable girl?” Kaze replied, laughing. “Hm. Touche..... Better call Suzy and tell her to bring her Roc. Just in case.” He opened his comm’s console. “**Contacts in range, Kaze. 13k’s and closing. Two Bounty Hunters. Weapons are locked onto us. I suggest you move my big ass hull out of their reticule.**” Tee’s electronic voice said. “I hate this bounty.” Kaze sighed. “This is going to be a long day.” Jordy sighed in response.
As the two Mantas loomed at the two Eagles, Kaze focused and said to Jordy: “Love you.” “Love you more.” He replied with a half smile, powering his weapons.
Kaze woke up once more.. But this time the surroundings were know...
Her bedroom in the Ranger. The soft hum of the ship engines and the beeping of the holo-computer
in front of her made her fall asleep.
As she looked at the information presented on the screen, it showed that the message and the.. special
contents were sent successfully.. "All i hope Meallan can make sense from this.." She sighed as she started to delete all the evidences.
One particular set of data and readings called her attention.
She smiled and at the same time shuddered as she remembered where and when it was took.
"What is that?" Blue asked while expelling smoke from her cigar.
Kaze instinctively reacted, grabbing her sidearm.
Blue laughed as Kaze noticed the gun had no battery. "Here. So.. What the hell is that?" Blue threw the battery to Kaze, who was somewhat surprised. "Did you took the battery of the gun, so i wouldn't shoot you?" Kaze asked while putting the battery inside the gun. "Hey, i didn't want for you to shoot me while sleep-walking. It's a safety procedure, yes?" Blue chuckled. "Aff.." Kaze smirked. "It's Iota." She pointed back at the holo-computer. "Iota... Long way... Dangerous one too." Blue poofed another ring. "True.. But.. I have what i needed.. And now so does my brother." Kaze yawned on the chair. "Very well.. Now.. Get up. Viva is waiting on the gym. She can't quite forget how a ex-Colonial managed to defeat her shooting with only a sword." Said Blue while walking out of the bedroom.
Kaze laughed and grabbed the two training swords and quickly followed. "Oh wait! Breakfast!"
Kaze was busy and greased beyond recognition on the ship bay of the Ranger, busy fixing the last bit of her Nyx.
Pretty shot up from her last engagement against a couple of Liberty Gunboats, she always tried to keep her ship in tip top condition.
Viva, who had entered the bay, looked at the Nyx, all opened up, and smirked.
She walked to it and gave a small nudge with her feet on one of the wings, making it wiggle a little. "Ey! People in here!" Kaze shouted, leaving one of the engine exhausts.
Viva laughed as she saw the 'ex-colonial', as she calls it, filled with engine grease all around. "What do you want Viva? Anything wrong?"
Kaze asked, hopping down from the engine exhaust and cleaning the grease from her face. "Oh nothing." She looked at the Nyx with a clinical eye. "You know, i always wondered why you like to fly this ship, and why the hell you keep those three"
Viva pointed at a cargo container to the side."Nyxes over there on 'ice'."
Kaze chuckled, and proceeded to place a hull panel under the wing. "What can i say? It's small, it packs a punch, and can dodge a lot of capital fire, since it isn't bulky as the Sabre or the Eagle.
Plus, i bought six of these before leaving the Taus. All Colonial issues." "Si.. I can see why you keep them close. Always good to have spares, no?"
Viva replied, and look behind her as the Highwayman and a couple of the Ranger's crew carried a big box in direction of Kaze's Nyx. "Hm. True. But why are yo-"
Kaze's voice was cut mid sentence when the crew dropped the box near the Nyx. "Be careful, you two! That's an Inferno! Not a baseball bat!" Highwayman shouted on their ears. "What the hell?" Kaze asked, leaving the hull panel half placed in the wing. "What's this for?" "Just a small business from me." Viva grinned. "Care to make a deal, si?" "Keep talking." Kaze watched as Highwayman nodded and start looking at the Nyx. He then disappeared inside of the cockpit. "I'll give you one Inferno. Great against the capitals you face everyday, si? I also asked Blue to coax Highwayman to try and.. make the technology compatible.
In return.. I want one of your Nyx." Viva nudged her head in direction of the container.
Kaze didn't even flinched. "You got yourself a deal."
She grabbed Viva's hand and shook it, effectively dirtying it with engine grease.
Viva looked at the hand, obviously not amused, and looked at the grinning Kaze. "Call it a even deal, qui'aff?"
The sound of swift movements and pangs of doors and drawers being opened was heard by Natalie as she passed by Jordy and Kaze's bedroom.
She rapped her knuckles on the door, and stuck her head inside without even hearing the reply.
Kaze was swiftly trying to put some of her clothing and personal belongings into a suitcase, alongside a couple of data disks, some electronic equipment
and enough energy batteries for two months so that the LSF Kel-Tec PLR-636 wouldn't run out of shots. "Where's the fire, Kaze?" Natalie asked, entering the room. "'You know who' called, Blue. The deal is set, and i'll send the reply as i finish packing." Kaze looked around for another data disk and a weird electronic box she pulled from under the bed. "This won't fit here." She shrugged. "Guess it will have to stay in the Nyx." "Hm... The deal is set? Most interesting. Did you get what you came for? Your tactic did worked well." Natalie pulled a silver cigar case and removed one.
As she sat in one of the blackened Kauri wood seats, she lighted the cigar and puffed. "True.." Kaze stopped packing, looked at Natalie and chuckled. "Who would have thought. Just make enough noise for the LSF to pull the inactive files from the secure data center regarding my father..
And then just get my contacts to procure a copy. Plus the Iota readings.. God.. In contrast..
All of the Navy, LSF and LPI are hunting me.. The Order barely tolerates me.. And i have the Colonial CIS in my behind."
Natalie laughed. "Not so bad for a ex-Colonial." She let the smoke flow after she laughed.
Kaze sighed, and looked at the still opened, half-done, suitcase. "Going alone? It's dangerous out there, i've heard." Natalie pulled another smoke from the cigar. "Have to... Too many people make too much noise. In Liberty, i had to make a noise, and you helped me to it." Kaze replied and Natalie nodded, in a mock gesture. "Much obliged, Miss Dagon."
Kaze smirked. "This whole deal fell into my lap. I get to help and repay Bretonia and the Colonials for the debt i owe to them. So i can't screw it up."
Natalie nodded and finished the cigar in the metal ashtray that was near. "Even so.." "No, Blue. I got to go alone. This is my game now. Back to the shadows, were i always were." Kaze quickly replied, already knowing what Natalie was about to say. "Very well.. Suit yourself, Kaze." Natalie smiled. "Do be safe..." She walked and hugged the sitting Kaze. "What about Jordy?" Natalie asked before opening the door. "He'll be around. He doesn't like to stop at one place too long." Kaze smiled. "So expect for him to crash here with news once in a while for the next couple of months." "Well, the Ranger is always open for the two of you. And this is your room. No compromises." Natalie smiled. "I know, Blue.. This is my home already." Kaze bowed her head as she was taught in her stay in Kyoto, as a show of respect and to convey gratitude. "Thank you, Natalie."
Natalie smiled and closed the door, leaving Kaze to finish her packing.
