now you may remember i made a thread recently about painting murals. ive decided to ahead with it, and i started doing some of the line drawings id need. so far ive finished 6 of the chars
now, i also recently bought a Wacom intuos 4 graphics tablet, which is one of the best buys ive made recently, regardless of it being an absolute hole in my pokkit D: , and was just screwing around to get used to it/get some practice at using the tablet, and came up with this so far:
Hm... Looks like you're using the same 1 pixel width tool for all of the digital lineart. I would suggest varying line thickness to add some depth, some lines should be thicker and darker than others.
Aye, tenacity. i plan on doing such detail work, including shading and "3dfying" the image after i get the basic colors filled in. im still learning the joys and tricks of the tablet atm, so tis a somewhat slow process:P
either way, i did Sher Khan last night, only this time, instead of drawing on paper then tracing with the tablet, i drew him directly with the tablet in photoshop:
i went in today to get alot of work done, and didnt realise the camera's batteries had died, so i had to resort to using a ****ty nokia phone's cameras to take pictures. i finished off bagheera and sher khan today, and started work on Kaa:
im nearly done now, ive finished off most of the chars, just need to finish off baloo + the tree hes leaning on, the baby elephant, and then the background:
