If you haven't already guessed, or you haven't seen the film, Fhloston Paradise is the name of the of the Luxury Liner in the film; Fifth Element:

I've got quite a bit to do on the model, certain parts are total "bleugh" right now, and I've only assigned the most basic of textures to give you a sense of scale. I've tried to keep the model as low poly as possible, while still trying to maintain the smoothness of the ship it's based on. Regardless, comments are welcome naturally:)

Seeing as there's only two passenger liner ship models (and I do mean passengers, not any of your harlots, pov refugees or, ahem, pyramid builders;)) I thought it would be good to throw another contender into the ring.

Bigbadaboom.

As lovely as it is, we don't really take imports anymore.

We're working them out of the mod.

:/

I think it's beautiful though.

As Akura said. That model, no matter how nice it is, ain't gonna be added into mod.

Interesting...I wonder if the digital anvil designers saw this movie...the lux liner is similar somewhat.

oh bugger, damn. I guess in my excitement in joining the community I have missed where that's been written. I was under the impression some models were being admitted.

That's a shame, but I understand.

I presume though, that this can be used in-game some different way? Single-Player mod or something? I'd simply just like to see how it would cope in game and things like that. This is the first time I've modelled something for use in a 3d game, you see?

Cheers, guys for the positive comments though!:D

The vanilla luxury liner was pretty much based on the Fhloston Paradise, the way I see it. The Fifth Element was before Freelancer, I believe and they do look quite similar.

It is a very nice model, but in its current shape (the original shape from the movie) it will never get into the mod.

However, if you edit it enough that it looks like a different ship from the ship (maybe not too many differences) then it could have a chance.

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

Just heavily modify parts of it, improve on the original model, cause it sure is fantastic.

Expand and make it different to the original until it becomes a new ship altogether.
