Case 1: The Order faction declares hostilities cease between them and the Liberty Navy. The Admins rule that the faction itself can do this, but they can't hold the indies to it. All fine and dandy, the Order can evolve past what it was at that time.
Case 2: Mollies and Bretonia sign a treaty. Nobody complains a whit except to say that it'll kill Molly activity (which it did for a time).
Case 3: [MR] and [NLH] agree to a non-aggression stance. Nobody complains.
Case 4: Mollies again reach an agreement with Bretonia that they won't fight and focus on the KNF. Nobody cares. This, and the treaty, are massive changes in the Molly RP. As it stands, the BAF have been their #1 enemy since the get-go. And with one sweep, they're allowed to change the RP of their entire faction.
Case 5: The LPI player faction announces that it's slamming down on corruption in the form of bribery and selling slaves from Sugarland. All hell breaks loose.
What. The. ****.
Let me address one part of the concern raised: we are still in the prison-grinding business. 'Don't do the crime if you can't do the factory-forced-labor' will always be the LPI's motto as long as it's a privatized corporation. It's pure economics. Easiest way to turn a profit, even easier than getting paychecks from the Liberty government for services rendered, is to put the criminal element to work for you. Personally, I don't define this as corruption. Makes good sense to me. The corrupt part, indeed, comes from being a little over-zealous in arresting people, as various infocards show that the LPI indulge in mass round-ups of vagrants and vagabonds about each planet. But that's not what we're talking about.
We're simply saying that Officers who take bribes no longer get free passes. You're caught, your ass is fired. End of story. We're simply saying that selling slaves off one of the two major prison stations in Texas is abso-f'n-lutely ludicrous. 5,000 inmates go missing? Here's some dandy info from the almighty Sugarland infocard:
Argument made. There is absolutely no sense behind selling slaves on Sugarland. There's absolutely no sense behind the LPI being at all involved in supplying the slave trade. Not only would every last cop on Sugarland have to be crooked, but they'd basically be selling every inmate they had to a single transport. The entirety of the LPI would have to be corrupt for that to happen, which is just plain stupid.
I've said my bit. I'm sure you all disagree. But it's become the common feeling of the LPI in general that we're getting not only the short end of the stick, but the greasy one too. And getting it rammed up our collective asses. Since I lead this sordid band of... police? I get to make the post. Basically telling you this and this alone:
We are the LPI-. We decide what our RP is. Not you. That may come off as arrogant, but it's the gorramn truth. You wanna change it? Join up. If there's RP merit in your application, I am obligated to accept it. You wanna be a crooked cop? Be my guest. Just be careful, because if you get caught at it, as I said before, your ass is fired. Other than that, the Admins tell us when we break rules and Igiss tells us what line to toe.
This is like demanding the right to fart in an elevator because someone else farted in the elevator first.
Also almost everything about Bretonia diplomacy wise is face palm worthy. I'm honestly shocked they haven't found a way to sign a NAP with the Corsairs.
Also we didn't whine about the LPI's space corp or something fighting the image of corruption. Or the idea that sugarland lacks the infrastructure to actually produce reams of slaves, we fought the idea that the LPI as a whole was suddenly clean as a whistle within the space of a year.
That's the concept which I found myself contesting.
Interestingly enough,
The LPI are corrupt cops at their very core.
The Mollies are angry miners fighting for freedom at their very core.
The LPI getting rid of slaves contradicts their core nature.
The Mollies fighting against the greater threats in hopes of securing freedom through alternate means that haven't been tried yet... that doesn't change their core nature.

Come now, it is nothing like that.
Your example implies we wish to do something rude and offensive to others. It is nothing like that, we merely wish to be treated like every other faction out there.
With Respect.
