Passwording the RP server.

Alright, so there's already one hot-topic poll out there, so why not another? A different solution to the same problem.

Do you think that the Discovery RP Server should have a password, with the password either placed at the end of the Server Rules thread, or hidden somewhere else in the same thread (to prevent people from skipping to the end)? Obviously a link to the thread would be provided in the Server Information.

Passwording the server may (may) cut down on the amount of players on the server with no sense of RP and no knowledge of the server rules. Or it at least removes any excuse of ignorance (assuming the rules are fully updated and compiled).

On the other hand, it may also cut down on the number of good players on the server. I, for one, likely never would have started playing on the server if it had a password, and I expect there are at least a few people who feel the same way.

I'm rather conflicted on the issue, so I'm going to abstain from voting for now. If anyone else feels the same way, I suggest you read through any of the debates (I'd rather not call them 'arguments') that spring up in this thread before answering. I'm sure many good points will be raised on both sides.
