Turning .tga files to .dds files

As the title says, I am wondering how to turn .tga. files to .dds files with the DDS Converter.

If it is possible, can some clearly explain to me how to?

Nvidia makes a .dds plug-in for Photoshop, as well there is one for Gimp.

Be aware though that if you're using a 64-bit installation of Photoshop the plug-in wont work, you'll need to load the 32-bit application to utilise it.

Well, my Photoshop CS4 is (64 bit) - so I doubt it will work because i can't find one for 32bit.

Also, the DDS converter is confusing to use. I mean, the convert button is not "highlighted" or should I say - NOT WORKING.

When it comes to frustrations - it gets complicated to me. I need someone that knows how to work with DDS Converter.

If you are using vista, you might or might not need to use execute as admin, otherwise it will go booyah. Remember to set an output folder, too.

A 32-bit executable is included in all 64-bit installations of Photoshop, it just doesn't have a shortcut. If you go into the directory for the application you'll find it.

Edit: It will be under your (x86) program files.
