Warren started as a VHF Fugitive ship on Void. It was unpopular there, but now as a bomber who knows. Its an ugly ship so it would fit in well with the Rogue camp. The Dagger series is light, gun heavy & sexy looking & I think Hessian & OC ships should reflect this design. I've seen many ships that look great & the Halberd is certainly one of them, but it doesn't follow the themes we all know. Maybe breaking the mould is a good thing, but the Turanic Raider's Freighter looks like a Junker ship, which is why it works so well.
I genuinely like this work, and bar the wing engines its one of the most best looking ships I've seen in a long time.
Ok here are my opinions on AoM's version of the Halberd (with no offense towards anyone, just constructive criticism):
1. The wings split away from the hull at the front. I think that looks rediculous.
2. No text should ever appear on a ship here. The "Halberd" written very distinctively on the front of the ship just plain looks bad.
3. Regarding the flat front - it works if this becomes a bomber because the torps would fit quite nicely on those long flat plates (the ones that currently say "Halberd" on them). If it doesn't become a bomber, then I think the plates should be removed and a nose added to the front. Preferably Border World-ishly.
4. It badly needs to be retextured. The simple pattern of tiles doesn't look good.
5. The big middle fin in the back. 3 "U" words - Unnecessary, Useless, and Ugly. The model would look much better w/o this fin.
6. I think the cockpit should be a different color. Transparent dark red or grey like the BW ships.
Aside from the things listed above, I think this is a decent looking ship. Feels very Germanic and industrial.
Once again, all of these opinions are highly critical and are aimed at improving the look of the ship, not offending anyone.

7. <strike>The wingtips</strike> - Issue has already been rectified.

O.K. I apreciate all posted suggestions and changes and i will try what i can, if Dragan agrees.
I cannot make general changes without rebuilding the whole model. So it will be not Dragans model anymore. I don't like this idea very much.
He did a great job with the design ideas he has spend to the model. I was just directing them into a more dynamic shape.
It is really a hard work to make a design, which is new, but keeps the Freelancer taste at the same time.
Oh and i don't like everyones-taste-designs. They are boring.
i liked the old model - but this one looks much better, indeed.
one little thing - can you maybe say where the weaponpods will be located - and maybe say how big they will be displayed? - just cause the visible weapons can sometimes mess up a model ( thinking of the rheinland bomber, that looks good, but the weapons that are mounted on the very tips of what looks like weapons anyway looks a bit stupid )
and yes, on second thought it does look a bit bomberish - heavier than before. but then i was quite alone thinking of it as a light fighter anyway.
Much improved, AoM...now I really want to fly one. =P Really looks "Hessian". Jinx has asked a good question, though; and particularly, where will the torps be mounted?
Torpedos will be mounted in those tubes left and right of the cockpit. Concerning the guns, look for the in-game screenshots i have posted erlier in this thread.
It's all subjective. It just looks to me like something a group like the Hessians would build: being ex-workers and miners turned revolutionaries, they probably wouldn't be building anything pretty. But this bomber looks very solid, and functional; just the sort of thing such a people might design and construct, in my opinion.
