Almost exactly the same right? Well, according to the Nodachi infocard which states
Quote:Bearing only a vague resemblance to the original craft that grandfathered itself and its counterpart, the Umibozu, <Snip>
They're only supposed to be vaguely similar. If I bought a new car, and it happened to be tan, and I painted it dark red, would it still be almost exactly the same, or would it only barely looks like it did before? Moving on.
Lulwutt? These are exactly the same, I mean, seriously? I'd understand if it was say a MK 1 Ship and it's MK 2 Counterpart, but these ships are for two completly different factions, and the stats are different, the Kusarian version much better than it's weaker dragon counterpart.
In fact, every single one of these ships has different stats, but they look nearly exactly the same. Can someone answer this question. How does slapping red paint on a ship make it's hull weaker than it originally was?
It's true, the Red Wings are faster. I know, us Michiganders are such hicks, but that's no reason to talk down to us....
All jokes aside, they're supposed to be basically the same ships. They're defected Kusari Naval Forces who were once the emperor's guard. The infocards are embellishments on the stat differences to state that the performance on the ship is different. It would be if, say, you bought an Opal Speedster and thought it was awesome, then bought a Saturn which uses the same design (since GM and Opel kinda partnered up to make this new Saturn) and noticed that you lost a lot of torque and performance. The frame is the same, but the innards are different. In this case, the Saturn is the KNF version, and the Opel is the Blood Dragon version. You should find the Blood Dragon version to be much faster, and a lot lighter.
And, Akura, Dragon snubcraft are more maneuverable, with some of the best 8.33s in the game, plus Disenfectors, some of the best 4.00s in the game. It's like having your cake and eating it too. I don't know what you're talking about asking for a "chance".
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.

I mean, the Katana should be different... model-wise, in RP, they're supposed to be fantastic pilots, fantastic snubcraft.
Red Chimmys? I mean... lazy or what? Chimmy Mk2 or something?

Not necessarily better, just different.
Why would a ship, that the Blood Dragons have handed down for generations, be any different from the KNF ships? The Blood Dragons are former KNF. They took their ships with them. Repainted them, changed out some armor for more agility, but other than that they are the exact same ships the KNF use. That is in RP.
You'd think tech would change over the years no? Not dragon tech, KNF tech. The original dragons are from around 350 A.S. I would understand that the Dragon ships should look old and outdated, whilst still resembling the newer better KNF ships, not just painted differently. You think the only technological advancements the KNF have made to their ships have been to paint them a different color?
