It is pleasing to hear that the Daumann corporation is willing to negotiate a new treaty - as well, it's fortunate that the Independent Miners' Guild also recognizes the necessity of formulating new agreements between the influential groups of the Omegas. I hope this endeavor turns out to be profitable and beneficial for all of us involved.

Oddly something the IMG involves itself into dissolved into chaos. Typical. You were two steps from making Omega 7 into another tau 23. You people just amaze me.
I've been working for Kruger which is surprisingly safer then working for IMG. I do already see some sanity is working its way into the discussions. Hope still exists.
In the old treaty's defense, I too have attempted to contact Kruger mining officials to offer donations that Jim and I have prospered from this. Unfortunately, with no reply, I am stuck dealing with the middle men. I hope Kruger has learned from this and I hope to keep my employment with them.
Still with Kruger right in the middle, and a big middle that is, we really need to have the three parties and JUST the three parties work this out. Telling that Kruger wasn't there and they are screwed sounds like an obtuse union meeting if you ask me. Yet again, there is hope.
My rock drone operating in Omega 7, fully paid for, has a low level defensive protocol installed and an adaptive contract tree branch program that has done rather well with. There is still some if/then statement errors from time to time and generic Kruger solicitation sub programs, but it gets the job done.
I'm going to come out and say it, but the CR have been used from day one like a red headed step child and again they are being placed on the front lines of what ever chaos this will create. But, as stated, haven't seen a one of them. Problem is I just don't trust IMG any more. I just don't. But, I'll work with them, keeping a full memory bank open for system visuals at the same time. When I see IMG and ICMG tagged ships I just bite my lip and move on. Business as usual. Jimmy hasn't has issues with IMG so I'll use that as my measuring stick for now. It's my two credits worth.
The Rock miner drone is programed to assist and mine when ever contractible obligations are met and will continue to do so baring IMG doesn't screw something up again.
I really hope this works out and I'll accept Kruger's decision and comply.

Subject: Omega Treaty
Fellows,
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Simply put the damned current situation on paper so everyone knows what to expect, because frankly, if you up-highs decide differently from the situation us working folk deal with, we'll probably end up ignoring you anyway. Goes for corporates and independants alike really.
Situation in Omega is as follows:
- IMG and Kruger share the northern silver, copper and cobalt fields. Copper has ground to a near halt because of the war. Most IMG focus on silver, Kruger tends to do both silver and cobalt.
- Daumann sticks to the southern ore fields. I believe they mainly mine cobalt, not sure.
- Red Hessians and Corsairs, and unaffiliated brigands are the most frequently occurring pirates.
- Security is handled most often by the Reichsmarine, with occasional aid from local ICMG, IMG and Kruger patrol craft. The Reichsmarine is recognized as the lawful authority in the system by all parties. It is possible Daumann has their own patrol craft out but I've never seen them - they stick to the south of the tradelanes, probably because of the current treaty.
Suggest you write something around this reality. I don't really care about the details... ore will keep moving one way or another.
Erynel, out.

<<<<<To: Omega 7 parties.Gutem Tag mein Herrens and greetings IMG. I am writing this message from the Tau 44 regarding the Omega 7 Treaty.
Please bear in mind that if this would have not been enforced , the Omega 7 would had been a warzone.
The Colonial Republic did what had to be done to secure peace in that sector and no matter how bad the treaty looks or looked , when we agreed on this and asked all the parties involved if something is wrong , why none of them raised their concern? Do not blame the Republic.
Second. Our patrols were in the system for a few weeks ,und mein herren were more then 2 weeks , ja ? , and in that time we enforced the treaty. After a while all became peacefull ,all parties respecting eachother zone and also did their mercs.
After that , the battlegroup was slowly retreated from Omega space.
Bear in mind that was not a police force , that was a fully armed battlegroup , a battlegroup that the Republic was willing to keep it there on our credits and expensives to maintain the peace of the area.
In case all parties forgot,in Sirius there are more problems then trivial disputes over resources fields , the Republic have a strong enemy up north , a enemy that wants to destroy our entire civilization and all that we accomplished in Sirius. I think that IMG is aware that our forces still fight for IMG station in a time when we can lock down Tau 44 and remain there.
Second , there were some political changes and also some reforming of the Colonial Goverment and in the Fleet and with that came new plans.
Third point. Economically was a bad move to maintain a battlegroup so far from home cut off Colonial supplies.Even the basic needs were to be bought, and to transport them from Tau 44 to Omega 7 means great risk and also more credits spent. The Republic is not Liberty , Rheinland to afford that.
But i think that one good thing came out of this. It showed that all of the parties in Omega 7 are more then seven years old kids that is arguing over who gets the biggest sand patch on the playground.

From: System Control And Management
We have been analyzing the existing treaty and reached the conclusion that this treaty is no longer valid, therefore terminated, due the following:
Quote:Article 1
Treaty parties
This treaty is signed between Independent Miners Gild, Daumann Heavy Construction and Colonial Republic.
Each party is to maintain a defensive force in the area.
The Colonial Republic no longer maintains a defensive force in the area, as they said, the battle group was slowly retreated from the area; a nice tactic if you ask me...
Quote:Article 5
Role of the Colonial Republic
Colonials are to preserve peace in the syst?m and enforce the treaty. They are therefore obliged to assist either party against pirate threats, help to intercept vessels breaking DL and patrol entire area without being in any way limited by the DL.
Unless any craft is commiting unlawful act in the syst?m, Colonial vessels will not engage it.
Since the Colonial Republic is no longer present in the system, they can no longer fulfill their role as stated above.
Because of these conditions being broken, Daumann Heavy Construction has decided to void the treaty, and retreat form it. We also believe that with the current decrease in hostilities a formal treaty is no longer needed.
Since we are no longer under the treaty; DHC will increase its patrol area to system-wide range to assist with the anti-piracy efforts, despite their affiliation.
We won't engage in actions against the IMG as long as they respect the freedoms of the Rheinlanders in the system.
Should the Omega 7 parties decide to reopen negotiations, we are willing to be part of them.
