Ok so mabye leave the fighter, but since the community seems to be against the ID of a Nomad player faction, why not just take the buyable nomad ships out of the game. They seem to be irresistable to players who just want to mess things up. I roll into theata today to see a Nomad BS pirating outside of Freeport 9 with a freelancer ID at level 81. Every new player wants to get one, and there is currently no way to Role play Nomads, so why not just eleminate the temptation, or change the price so it's prohibitivly expenseive. Just a thought.

Mmm, just to clarify: this wasn't me and my ships don't pirate at all. This kind of behavior gives very bad name to those players who work hard on roleplaying those damn things, myself included.

However because of lack of RP of some of those players you don't take all other ships from the game, starting with Liberty Battleships and every other, so why specifically those?

It's just another example of nomadophobia. If you can't see how they can be played - don't even touch them, stay away from those and buy something else. If you see someone using them but not roleplaying - report them. Quite simple. But asking to remove them completely is wrong on so many levels.

I may not RP a Nomad but I know it's hard. I suggest not to remove them completely, but remove them from every place they are sold and make it that way they can be obtained with the Nomad ID, if it can be obtained, of course.

After adding ships to the mod, or using the existing ones, they cannot be removed without a dreaded wipe
I believe. So making them just available on the faction bases would solve the problem ...
Though there are people who do fly them for the right reasons, few and far between currently though, so
that would be a little unfair also. License them ? ... Possibly.

Kind of like the battleship licence?

What I don't see very often is people trying to play a nomad controlling a human. Nomads are calculating little twits, they don't parade through heavily populated areas looking for trouble with a nomad battleship. They exist in civilian military craft. They look like any other person. They are only detectable through a very close range scanning device. Nomad battleships are pretty much used by these people as a billboard saying "Hey! Lookit me! Im a nomad!"

That's an intriguing thought Smiley. How would you pull off RPing as a Nomad hosted in a human? I can see doing it on the forums but in the game it seems like it would be nearly impossible to acheive.

That doesn't sound like what Smiley was suggesting.

The Wild are only Rheinland Military pilots. But Wild or just Nomad-infested, RP'ing theim in-game doesn't differ from the normal humans anyway.

One quick question; What was the character name of the ship? Since AW doesn't let people pirate there, I want to know who it is so we can keep them out in the future. Might be best to PM it and not post it publicly to avoid flames.
