Only child of Ivan Iris and unknown mother, Katherina is raised by an abusive conman that has been charged several time of burglary and possession of narcotics with intent to use, and as well suspected of grand theft, multiple sexual charges many of which against his own daughter, murder, etc. Katherina frequented a public federal school once, from the age of 5 to 7, after which she disappeared off any documents, along with his father until she was 12, where it is thought she has been caught on camera along with Ivan, stealing a starship from a starport on Stuttgart. It is thought that while Katherina lacks any proper educations (many rumors states she does not know how to write or even type, despite being able to read), even though she has seemingly been educated in all the ways of her father. Among other skills, she is capable to find her way through virtually any lock, mechanical or electronic, knows how to fly a ship as large as a freighter by herself of seemingly any origin, and operates any vehicles without proper key. She possess the material to illegally replicate DNA samples, voices, electronic signals, as well as jammers of military build, probably all acquired from the black market on Kreuzberg.
Katherina has ever since been seen alone without her father from the age of 16. Ivan Iris' status is unknown, and is still searched by federal police.
She is reported flying a junker CSV with either zoner or junker serial numbers, and is known to offer a wide selection of "services" to Rheinland organized crime. Track of mercenary work for the Red Hessian and Unioners can be directly linked to her, payment usually done in a preset amount of diamonds or spare equipment. Assassination, poisoning, extortion and torture are among the list of suspected crimes committed while under their services, although Federal Police and Bounty Hunter forces have no tangible proofs of any.
At age 19, she commits her largest crime yet as she and a hired band of 12 mercenaries take over a branch of the Volksbank in Nuremberg, and make over 50 hostages. The bank robbery end up with 6 of the hired con men taken under arrest, 2 fatalities, and 0 victims among the hostages, although the surviving crew manages to escape with a 10 millions of Sirius Credits in physical bonds.
At age 21, she has over 37 counts of grand theft starship under her name, and have so far evaded arrest over a hundred times, making her one of the youngest and most successful criminal in Rheinland Federal Police history.
She is apprehended only once at the Libertonian border at age 22 for suspected possession of narcotics, but released free as the custom agents failed to identify her. However, news of this rapidly reached the ears of inspectors at Federal Police, and along with a task force of Bounty Hunters, a national chase began for her, leading to Katherina Iris' arrest two months later in a small modular station that served as her personal home in Bering.
