A simple question...

Why wasn't Freeport 7 ever rebuilt?

Yes, I know FP 9 isn't far, but still...
Why wouldn't they rebuild it?

(Was it even worth opening the topic? Yes. I'm bored.)

When I first came here, Sigma 17 was all swamp. Everyone said I daft to build a freeport in a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And then was blown up by nomads.

So we stopped rebuilding it.

There were really so many? It also reminds me of Babylon 5.

Damn swamp! They'll need to fix that, pump away the water or something...

I like the place where (I think) the Freeport was.

You have a space station.
It gets blown up by hostile aliens that bring humanity to the brink of destruction.

Why would you build a station where that one use to be?

That's like building an army base on the ruins of one blown to pieces by an invading army, whilst another invading army might just be sitting around the corner.

Freeport 7 was a major disaster in Sirius History, kinda like the Twin Towers. It's not gonna be rebuilt. At the very most there would be a memorial in space, but that's it.

Also, search button is your friend.

Well, the hostile aliens are no longer hunting the artifact that was on board that station, soooo... they won't blow it up again?

On-topic: Something other than wreckage should be added to the location of FP7. Maybe a marker or something.

Retired, permanently.

I agree. Add maybe a small sattelite or beacon, with an infocard and a small version of the neutron star effect.

A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
