Yeah yeah I get it Unselie, not FL-ish enough. They were built/designed before I had even considered buying FL so of course they weren't FL-ish. Still, parts might be useful inspiration for something as simple as the arrangement of engine nacells, the way a wing connects to a fuselage, the location of a cockpit, whatever.
AoM, I'll search around to see if there is a way to export GC2 ships into a usable format. If I find a way and have some time, i'll see if I can rough up something that fits FL. I like doing that sort of thing but have pretty limited time for it these days.

as long as it's an original design and will fly in Freelancer without any problems i'm all for it.
will fly in freelancer?
its a simulation.
you could fly a rat's crack.
so.....
Freelancer ish...the only way to go.
@Morrigan....sorry, that last was a crack at myself more than anyone else.
I know I'm hard line.
but I really do believe there is a destinctive flavor to Freelancer ships, and I cringe when I see ships that deviate from that floating around in Disco.

NP Unselie, I agree and I'm pretty much a hard-liner myself. Heck, I even find Nomad ships and guns un-FL-ish , even though they were part of vanilla:)

um....umm....
wow....
care to elaborate on why?
now, I understand they don't fit the human side of things....do you also find the Dom'Kavosh cities unfreelancerish?

It's really a plausibility thing. Blue jelly ships with humans flying them? I dunno it just doesn't work for me, especially in an RP server environment where things are supposed to fit together well. I see Nomad and it is a jolt to my immersion. Personal hangup i guess:)

oh.
well, I protect my immersion by using my 'Imaginary Aegis,' I assume that all nomad ships are actually nomads, and treat them accordingly...also, this also refers to anyone else who is powerplaying.
I don't have any superheros in my freelancer universe.....maybe the phantoms.....just pilots of varying ability....I also assume that all the really dumb RP doesn't exist...If someone is out of RP, I create them an rp, in my head, to fit them into my immersive gameplay.
