One could categorize me as, for lack of a better term, rather newbish. The thought of a gallic character crossed my mind and with that came /restart gallia. So, I got myself a nice CSV and explored Gallia a bit with it. Soon I found that this was quite a lonely set of systems, and an urge to explore Liberty overwhelmed me. So I load up that old trusty map of Sirius and head to Lorraine so I can truck through the Omicrons over to Tau-23 and pick myself up an RT.
This is where the fun begins. Oh look! There's a mine field surrounding the jump hole! Okay, so let's try going to Orkney through Languedoc... oh noes! Another mine field! Anyone got any suggestions on how to get the tusk out of Gallia? (preferably to the Omicrons)
Actually, both mine fields have some passages you can use. The passage in Languedoc is easy to find (since the mine field was breached by the Council, just land at the guard station), and from Orkney you can get to Taus (it's a short way to the Omicrons from there).
Finding the Lorraine mine field's passage is quite complicated, though I managed to do that. I don't know if that unwritten rule of the forums applies in this case (I mean, never tell the location of secret bases, etc...).
I made round-Gallia trip with my freelancer char, and I started from Freeport 10, so it's not that far.
Just remember to get rid of your Gallic weapons first. At least, if I were you, I would've done it.
You got somme sort of Piece of scrap....well sommething a bit bigger than a mine and not looking like a mine ( best i can do ) near the entrance of the Languedoc and the Omicron 80 Mine field.
You can see it from far.
