Every house military has an id Liberty,Bretonia,Kusari and Rhienland. There is also a ID called Military ID and according to Info it is a ID that stated a person has joined the lawful forces of sirus. Is this a general ID or what? Wonder if the military ID's should be removed unless there is a reason cause the house military ids are fine.
Ya, have to agree with Blunt there... People think that Military IDs give them permission to patrol and run all of Sirius... -Wrong!-. Just don't use the Military ID at all. If you wish to RP as a Lawful Military Officer, pick a house faction and go for it.:)
Agreed, Blunt. The generic military and pirate id's should go away. They leave open many abuses such as autonomous policing/pirating of the entire Sirius sector. Something I believe none of us want to see.

I agree with getting rid of the generic Military ID, but not Pirate, nor Trader or Mercenary. Just because all NPCs belong to an NPC faction doesn't mean the players should have to. It is called 'Freelancer', after all. You can have freelance mercenaries, freelance traders, or freelance pirates, but not freelance soldiers. That's a Mercenary.
Give Mercenaries limited use of destroyers and battleships. As in, only if they're part of a faction like Darkwing Mercenaries, rather than an independant merc like mine.

I don't think that IDs that allow people to potentially play in a way thats bad for the server really makes a difference. Most bad RPers don't go to the trouble of getting a tag and ID that match their ship. Lots of people have things like a Corsair ID, Hessian Cruiser, Police tag. Being a true neutral or fence sitter is harder to do but I don't like the idea of closing off that option.
