I've know the phantoms have a role play background and what they do, but in my two times of encountering them i have come across one thing that bother's me, what is with the names.
The names of Phantom ships I've seen have non-role play related, and some times have characters in them that can not be pronounced or look like they will be there.
yes, some new players and other indies will use such in there names, but i have seen no official faction without a role play related name, or with weird characters in them.
this all came up when meeting one a few minutes ago offering a blessing (which i knew was a blessing of death) this is the only time i have meet a phantom with good role play, which i enjoyed (but really, i don't like when people just shoot at your shield while role playing, its just distracting)
the other time i ran into one, a phantom pirate gunboat and a molly pirate gunboat came from a tradelane and just opened up on my transport only saying there i was, and to get me....i docked on that occasion but that was something......interesting.....(this was a few months ago)
well that's all i have to say on the fact.
and the one i just ran into a few minutes ago, thanks for the interesting role play.
EDIT* just a note, the phantom that attacked me had a name that was ok, (plus i now know the naming convention,....well...somewhat know the naming convention) the phantom only reminded me of the one a few months ago which the names of the list of phantoms does not seem to spark my memory.
<strike>Perhaps you could figure out which code names in particular bother you, find out what players they belong to, read something of that character's backstory and then PM said player to ask them a little bit about why they're named as such.</strike>
