*Otis Jethro, Vice President of IND walks up to the podium.*
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
As most of you know, about 2 months ago, Interspace Neural-Net Division to a controlling interest in Liberty Police Incorporated. Today we are announcing the first moves in a broad restructuring of the company. I have spent the last 2 months reviewing the company and talking with the men and women who put their lives on the line everyday in Liberty, protecting the citizens and visitors of this great house. These men and women are the best of what Liberty has to offer, and for too long they have not had te resources or direction needed to most effectively do their jobs. The restructuring we are undertaking is aimed at fixing that problem. We in the IND are confident that the LPI is a worthy investment, and that it can be brought quickly back to it's former glory.
Today we announce the restructuring of the LPI's law enforcement branch's High Command. First I announce the long deserved promotion of Deputy Chief Hull O'Brian to Chief of the LPI law enforcement branch. This is the latest promotion in a long career of service to the people of Liberty. There is no more deserving man in Liberty to hold this prestigious job.
Next I am pleased to announce the new high command of the LPI law enforcement division. These four men are long standing members of the LPI, and have each risen through the ranks in their own way. A wonderful example of the diversity of experience that the LPI has.
The first Deputy Chief is Jack Bauer, one of the longest serving members of the LPI, Bauer has spent time on regular patrol, as well as with the SWAT division and he is a mentor to many of the young officers on the line, and his experience and calm demeanor will bring a much needed stability and level headedness to the LPI high command.
The next Deputy Chief is John Smith, an up and comer in the LPI, he has quickly made a reputation as a stand up, no nonsense officer, more interested in protecting the peace than playing politics.
We also have Deputy Chief Colin Sinclair, an officer of the highest quality. Sinclair has spent time in our light fighter corps, as well as in our cargo reclamation division. He has cross trained to an extent that allows him a unique view of all the positions in the LPI, making him an ideal choice for Deputy Chief.
Last, but most assuredly not least, Deputy Chief Oliver Shaw, having served in the Prisoner transport unit, he later became administrative assistant to Deputy Chief Riza Williams. Shaw has seen the LPI from the administrative side, and there is no one who understands the administrative and fiscal operations of the LPI better, and there is no one better to oversee it.
Today is a first step in making the LPI a effective, efficient, and profitable company suited to the changing market trends well into the future.
I would be happy to take a few questions at this time.
*A bum looking guy in a uniform in the back-rows applauds and whistles loudly while the promotions are announced - than he bursts out coughing. He keeps turning deliberately to other directions when any suit looks on him.*
