So, I got bored and decided tos tart counting Sirius' population, according to the in-game informations we have from bases. The results are surprising me and I've only done the first 200 bases!

1) I skipped all the Battleships since they all have classified infos.

2) Instead of making a section for each lawful factions, I made one for each houses.

3) ? Signifies a station/planet which has either no information on it's population or that the informations were classified.

This is a very well done chart to show how messed up the infocard's population values are.

Planet Miura would probably fall under this category.

I know, it said so in the first post eh? Giving you a hand with what I know. Also GMG has some 36 mining platforms all of which are populated 24/7. Not sure on the average number, I'll see if I can find one.

It might be better to draw up a general chart showing the population density of different types of object.

For example:
1) Outpost 10 - 100
2) Colony 100 - 1000
3) Minor Settlement 1000 - 10,000
4) Major Settlement 10,000 - 1 Million
5) Partly Inhabited Planetoid - 1 Million to 100 Million
6) Fully Inhabited Planetoid 100 Million to 1 Billion
7) Overcrowded Planetoid 1 Billion +

If it is a base, or harsh planetside environment, then the population would be at the lower end of the range. These figures dont take into account transient populations. They also dont take into account the demographic differences between a military base and a civilian base with families (and children) taking residence.

Yeah. Fortunately, we really don't need to know that. Just assume that there are enough people... and for that matter, think about how many npc's that you see killed in the average day. If we want to make it right, someone should do some editing. Otherwise... just go with the census bureau can't count and leave it at that.

its hardly and unnecessary to count it since there is alot of missed information in wiki'n'stuff.

1600+?+?+4000+?+700+?+?+300+1000+200+?+?+300=???

Actual Corsair population, so you seems missed like half of Sair bases.

Never mind the fact that, as with any other factions with planets, population on bases is quite insignificant.
