Kell watched the various ships arriving at the station, making note of the various classes and transponders that appeared. "Shab, haven't seen a gathering like this in quite a while, maybe more than one group has finally acknowledged the threat Gallia poses to humanity" He thought.

Kell hit the intercom switch on his desk. "Matthias, get a security detail ready, and tell Rebecca to meet us in the docking port" He spoke into the mic.

"Will do Colonel" Matthias replied.

"EDI, put the ship in lockdown, and try to get a back door itno every ship here, just in case things go south" Kell said to the image of a young woman standing behind him.

"Yes Colonel" the virtual intelligence replied.

"Now things get interesting" Kell thought again.

Kell proceeded down to the docking port and was greeted by the sight of four heavily armed marines, his tactical officer, Lieutenant commander Matthias Shaw, and his wife, Colonel Rebecca Tainer.

"Lets go shall we?" He asked

The party moved to the airlock door and proceeded onto the station where they were met by several Zoner guards.

"This way Colonel" the squad leader said.

The party followed the squad into the meeting chamber and once they were i settled in, Kell listened in on the conversation going on between the two marines behind him and gestured to Matthias who was standing beside him and Rebecca

Matthias promptly turned on his mic and joined the conversation

"Don't worry about the bugs, we've got jammers aboard the Neith II preventing anyone from listening in, Provider will be safe, besides, they'll know soon enough" He spoke into the mic. "But nonetheless, i want you two watching those new figures, keep alert and spread out, detain anyone doing anything suspicious" He continued

Finishing the conversation, Matthias gestured back at Kell, indicating the orders were issued

Kell looked around the room and saw both familiar and unfamiliar faces, those of several of the Order High Command, and Zoner Alliance, and several unknowns, some of the GMG by the look of their uniforms.

He leaned over to Matthias and opened his mouth

"Get a communique through to Commander Donelly, tell her we need MEGGIDDO prepped just in case we need a quick exit and get me a status update from EDI" He whispered.

Matthias acknowledged him with a silent nod, and Kell glanced over at Rebecca, who returned the look with a "what are you doing" glance

Sparta Control, this is Order Wing Zeta-Five, requesting permission to dock, over. We have clearance.

Zeta-Five you have clearance, we have been expecting you.

The wing consisted of around Seven fighters, and a Transport, they all docked sequentially, the Transport was last. They were soon surrounded by a bunch of Marines, and they waited for the pilots to come out....

They got a pleasant surprise when the Transport doors opened, and around twenty Marines jumped out, quick as lightning and took up defensive positions around the ship. Then the fighter pilots jumped out, and taking out sidearms, took cover.

Finally, when it was clear nothing was going to happen, a Marine, clearly the leader, gave a signal, then all lowered their sidearms, the the tension in the room went down considerably. With everything in the clear, the man they were guarding walked out, seemingly at ease in old fashioned formal attire.

Vice Admiral Robert D'Souza wasted no time, walking up to the Docking bay in-charge, he asked for directions and then him and his guard marines moved off as one.

The Marines were left at the door and Robert entered the conference hall. It was badly lit, but he could make out two shapes, one wearing the unmistakable black attire of the Order, which he identified as Colonel Tainer, and another person, Zoner from the looks of it, whom he did not recognize. He decided to greet them all as one.

Buenos Dias. He said in a neutral voice.

Gabriel waited inside the cramped conference room and watched as the assorted leaders made their way in. Still astonished that this meeting was assembled so quickly. Though he still felt regret that such a gathering was even necessary.

The first of the arrivals were making their way into the conference room now. Gabriel greeted Colonel Tainer and Mr. Escher. Hopefully those in attendance would put aside their petty differences and see we should work together for the greater good, he thought. The larger threat of Gallia being his main concern. Before he could continue down that path of thought he was greeted by Admiral D'Souza of the Order primary fleet.

So much hung in the balance here, especially the way of life he had worked so hard to preserve. One thing was certain, things would never be the same again.

Orley was still lost in thoughts, there will be many representatives attending this conference.

The gigantic minefield for example, which shapes the entrance tunnel to the Corinth Research Station and Sparta, was quiet impressive.
This should be something we need to consider for Minor, the High Command members agreed.

While Admiral D'Souza was already on his way to the conference room, Rear Admiral Julian Orley was still talking to a few of the escort pilots who were awaiting orders for the next several hours.
The instructions consisted of patrols and scouting duties.

The Conference would be safe and well hidden out here, he nodded and walked down the docking bay.
He was immediately informed about the way and in company of a few armed men, he headed to the conference room.

Vice Admiral D'Souza, Colonel Tainer and James Ferguson were the ones he recognised.
"There we go....", he said to himself and joined them.

Corporal Casse slouched a bit in his Bastet, which floated a few thousand meters from the intimidating minefield.

As he lit up a smoke, he looked over his right shoulder to see a similarly-bored GMG escort in some sort of heavy fighter.

Checking his port side, Casse exhaled smoke from his nose as he studied the odd-looking ships further out. A strange, masculine-sounding language could be vaguely heard in conversation over local comms. No doubt those pilots - wherever they're from - are just shooting the breeze to kill the time.

He wondered in what language the conference's deliberations would take place. He'd only ever really heard spoken English, save for a few bits of ancient Spanish sprinkled about the Omicrons.

He then turned his glance to the sky at the top of his window and folded his arms behind his head.

"I'm a long way from Erie," he muttered.

Twelve hours before the meeting a Zoner Border Worlds transport carrying neon landed on Corinth Research Station.

Everything about it was normal, except it was late, and so it passed the security checks with no worries, for there was no reason to refuse a legitimate vessel access for being late. If someone bothered to look they would find no reason was logged for it's lateness. It would be too much effort for the average carefree Zoner. After all, it was a shipment of a common substance which Zoner scientists wanted to research and utilise. It was worth very little to pirates and left alone. It left Planet Erie on schedule, notified Bethlehem when it went past Philladelphia station and headed for it's next waypoint of Freeport 2.

It was there at Freeport 2 that everything failed the schedule. The crew, with the exception of the Captain left the ship unpaid, due to an incident in the Omegas. Hostilities had erupted and the path was no longer safe. The Captain needed to make a shipment and it was very lucky that while drowning his sorrows at the bar that the barman pointed out a spaceship crew were looking for a transport to get locked on to temporarily. The Edelz had picked up a new crew at Freeport 2 and been delayed by 48 hours.

It pulled in late to Corinth Research Station. Seven crew members and one Captain. It was there that the crew said goodbye to the Captain and took a shuttle to Sparta Station that was less than 5k out from Corinth. The Captain of the Edelz once again needed a crew, but at least at Corinth he could find one easier. He thanked the crew before they left. The four stiff men who did the hard yards most of the time said little and reciprocated the thanks in a rough tone, the man who always wore a full flight suit nodded and the two women shook his hands and were very joyous and energetic in their thanks. The Captain knew he was letting go of a good crew and as he walked away the amount of luggage they carried filled him with slight alarm, but not for long. The bar was not far away.

Seven hours before the meeting the male Spymaster of the Wedjat arrived in his all-covering armoured suit. It was set to pearl white. Four large bodyguards wearing the black armoured flight suits of The Order, flanked him. Three steps behind was Elizabeth Boehme, who managed to get off the Hedge without causing the ship's location to be revealed. Three steps ahead was Hannah Kenanoel, whose purpose was not well known apart from that she served aboard the ship X used.

The Zoners wondered what ship they had come in on, but treated them no different. They were given a small room to recuperate and some refreshments.

Nine minutes after the meeting was supposed to start the group walked into the conference room, and the eyes of the others who made up the High Command of The Order narrowed.

Barnes sat in the entrance hall of Sparta station, head
down and keeping to himself.He looked at his watch repeatedly.

"Where the hell is Rockford this meeting will start without
him if he dosent get his arse into gear"

Just as he was about to use the holocodes to contact Rockford
he appeared from the Hanger Doors.

"Greetings Barnes, im late yes but for good reason, ill explain later,
but for heavens sake keep your cool here, the Order are present here yes,
but what we are all here for is bigger than our problems with them
at the moment, and we need you focused on the situation here"

Barnes agreed and stood up.

"Ok Rockford lets move into the hall, and see what is going on here"

Stepping into the conference chamber, the marines took up positions around the room alongside the other security details of the various dignitaries, holding their weapons loosely. They all wore black combat armour formed from shaped ceramic plates along with enclosed helmets that obscured their faces behind panes of reflective one way plexiglass.

Flipping onto closed comms, one of the marines spoke into his helmets built in comm link, broadcasting to Wedjat delegation.

"Icarus here," he said, "helmet cam is rolling and the audio recorder is picking up perfectly. We won't miss a thing."

Using his helmets HUD interface, he brought up the helmets built in scanner and glaced around the room at the assembled personel. Several people pinged as having recording or listening devices on their person.

"Omicron, are you seeing this?," he said, swearing under his breath, "looks like half the damn conference had the same idea as us."

As he waited for the reply, he switched to Colonel Tainers channel and spoke to him though a concealed earpiece.

"Colonel, half the people in this room are showing positive for listening devices, probably best to talk to the Zoners in private if you're still going ahead with the plan."

Guild Master Taro Katsuo of the Gas Miners Guild had already arrived at the station yesterday evening, under escort of his own retinue of Guild Aces, joined by Charles Burn and Johann Boll of the ZTC as soon as the Guild vessels had entered Omicron-74.

Since his arrival, Taro had been waiting patiently in the shadows, drawing no attention to himself. He watched while the rest of the representatives from different groups arrived, thinking to himself Why would the Zoners invite all these people? Is it about their recent problems with the Corsairs? I've yet been told what this meeting is about.

At that very moment, a wing of GMG snubcraft touched down on the station. When Taro arrived to Sparta, he had sent out his Aces, the Katsuo no Seibyou, to wreck havoc amongst the Corsairs. The Aces climbed out of their vessels and approached Taro, all bowing slightly in front of him, whom returned the gesture out of respect.

"We didn't get very far, sensei." Jomyo Meishu said, "We didn't even have to look for them. They came to us over at Freeport 15. Two battleships with escorts, and they were after the Zoners. Taro rubbed his chin "Hai, I heard about it over the comms. I've been told that the Corsairs lost one of their battleships, is it true?" he asked. "Hai sensei! And we sustained minimal losses. Zensou-san took several hits, but he's alright now. The Corsairs retreated as a large Order fleet arrived from the far end of the system, effectively ending the fight in our favour." Jomyo replied.

"Kampai Katsuo no Seibyou, well done! If you happen to find a bar on this station, Sake's all on me!" Taro cheered to his Aces "I wanted to hear your report before entering the conference room, as I don't know how long the meeting will last. Hopefully, it won't be long until we can head back to the Sigmas, maybe kill a Corsair or two along the way. I'll contact you all once this conference is over, in the meantime, do what you do best. Collect Corsair scalps." The Aces nodded, leaving Taro while heading towards what they thought was the bar.

I better get to that meeting then. Taro thought, walking in the direction of the conference room. Once he entered the room he sat down in one of the still unoccupied chairs, nodding towards those who met his eyes, as a gesture of courtesy and respect. Now to find out why we're all here... Taro wondered, while softly rubbing the pineal amulet hanging down from his neck.
