The Battle of Centari B, Aboard Gunstar 62 Odin, 6 years ago.
Captain Richards walked onto the bridge. He was wondering what could be going on this time of night. "Captain, incoming transmission from Galactica" said his comm officer. "Patch it through." "Ah Admiral Adama, what is it". "seven hours ago, two scientific teams headed to the centari B system to study it...they were scheduled to report in 15 minutes ago." "Ive decided to send you to investigate, if any hostiles are present, call for backup." "Understood." The Transmission ended, Richards ordered his helmsman to set a course for Centari B. "Lets get this over with so i can go back to sleep."
An hour later
The Odin arrived insystem. "Scan the system Lieutenant, i want to know where they are." "Scanning sir."..."Um, sir im detecting strange readings on the western side of the system." "Ignore them Lt. and focus on the task at hand." *An alarm sounds. Sensor Officer "Sir Im getting multiple contacts on DRADIS...Scanning..THey are CYLONS." Richards-"Get me galactica, NOW". "Aye Sir", "Channel Open". "Admiral, need IMMEDIATE reinforcements, Four Basestars have jumped insystem, i think we know what happened to the Scientists." "We are en route, Galactica CIC out."

The Galactica arrives in system, in time to find the Odin under heavy attack.
Galactica CIC-
"Launch all vipers, bring the forward batteries online." *Multiple yes sirs in the background. "Get me a channel to The Odin." "Roger that sir" "Odin, This is Galactica Actual, get out of there, you are under heavy assualt." "Thats a negative Galactica, you get the fleet out of here" "Odin, we will not leave you behind." "Dammit, move us in to nuke range, we will make those mechanical bastards pay." "IN range in five minutes".
Odin CIC-
"Thats a negative Galactica Actual you get the fleet out of here." "Odin we will not leave you behind". "Lt., set course for that basestar and arm all nukes, we are going out with a bang." "Roger That Sir".

Galactica CIC-
"In range Admiral", "On my mark fire tubes 1 through 4 at the first basestar." "Copy" "Wait what is the odin doing?, Ensign?" "It appears to be charging one of the Basestars, wait sir, im reading mulitiple nuclear launches, theyve jettisioned all their ordinance!" *The basestar explodes* "Sir they took the Basestar down." "Well ill be damned,i never though they could do it.: "Alright, Lieutenant target the remamining two basestars, unload everything we have, lets show them thefull extent of our wrath." "NUkes away" *The remaining two Basestars explode after multiple hits."* "Hostiles eliminated, area clear." "OKay, contact the Odin, tell them to come aboard, and recover our vipers."

At the end of the battle, the Galactica lost a full squadron of vipers, but killed close to 2000 cylons plus three basestars. THe odin was quickly repaired and reentered service two years later. Thankfully, no Colonials were lost.
