Father: Hans Paulsen (dead), was a temporary worker for different subcontractors of Republican Shipping.
Mother: Inge Paulsen (dead), was a cleaning lady in the company Republican Shipping.
Brother: Gunnar Paulsen (47), owner of a small garage for speeders and freighters on Planet New London.
Marital status: married with Susanne Paulsen, born as Reichelt, nurse. Two children, Clara Paulsen, Daughter, Sven Paulsen, son.
Georg was growing up in a poor family. Nevertheless, he had a good childhood. His parents were honest people, always have taken care, to give him and his brother all they had needed. He loved his parents and showed a great respect to them. From his father, Georg learned to be always straight, honest and never give up.
In school he was an average student, but a very good athlete and was becoming captain of the junior soccer team.
When he was fourteen, his mother was falling very ill, breast cancer. She died a half year later.
Exactly at the same time, his brother spent all his money for a ticket to New London. Rhineland had an economy crisis and Hamburg had an high score of unemployed people. So his brother was leaving to find an employment in Bretonia.
Many years Georg has not forgiven his brother, that he couldn't wait to leave, instead to be on his mothers side in her last days.
His father wasn't able to overcome the bereavement of his beloved wife. Georg noticed a slow but constant change in his father.
After the tenth class, Georg left the school. He was been aware of, that he could not stay with his father all the time. His father helped him to decide, by giving him all the saved money and begged him ardent to leave, to break the circle and to get a better life.
Like many young people, Georg went to New Berlin and applyed himself on the military college. After an entrance examination he was accepted. It was a hard time. A very few times he was able to manage to visit his father and very often he was close to quit, but every time he remembered his parents and stood up. He finished the military college as one of the best of his class....
....After his graduation, he was transferred to the newly built Battleship "Freya", where he was assigned to the fire control center.
He served very well and after helping the commanding officer of the control center, in developing a better target tracking software, he earned the promotion from ensign to a Lieutenant junior grade.
The next five years, along with the Freya he has taken part in many tasks against the upraising criminal activity and a small crusade against Corsairs in Omage 15.
In one of the skirmishes there, an Corsair Bomber made a lucky shot. The Bridge of the Freya was hitted directly and the most of the bridge crew, including the Captain were killed instantly. Georg, at this time asigned to the bridge, was heavily wounded, but managed to escape the decompression through the nearby airlock. Then he felt in unconsceiousness, because of the blood he had lost.
Three weeks later he woke up in the military hospital on New Berlin. His head was broken and 4 ribbs. One of them had pierced his lungs.
His father was extra going on vacation to be with him and when Georg was able to leave the hospital they were going back to Hamburg. There Georg had another three months of R&R. It was a good feeling for him to be back at home.
Every three days he had to show up in a small military clinic next to his home, where he first met a young nurse, Susanne Reichelt. Within the three months they have met very often, had a good time and felt in love.
For Georg it was very important to involve his father and the result prooved him right. Been aware of becoming a grandfather one day, he got back the fond of life.
Before Georg was going back to duty, he took the promise of his father and his girlfriend, to take care about each other.
Meanwhile the "Freya" was repaired and released from the dock in a ceremony. Along with many other crew members he earned another promotion to a Lieutenant senior grade and was becoming the commanding officer of the fire control center.
All in all the tasks against criminals and Corsairs were successful and the following year was quiet. The Freya showed presence along the border to Kusari and was part of a combined manoeuver of Rhineland military and Liberty navy.
Within this year Georg married his girlfriend and they found a nice little house in Elmshorn not far from his fathers home.
Then everything was changeing overnight. The whole commanding structure of Rhineland was rebuild, promotions and degrades in a mass, never seen before. Also Georg, without the according years of service, was promoted again into the rank of a Lieutenant Commander and became CIC of a Rhineland Gunboat within the "Freyas" Taskforce. [Today we know, it was the beginning of the nomad crisis. No informations about this time are available] .....

[The only thing we know is, one month before the crisis ended Georg Paulsen was released from his command and arrested by his first officer, because he denied an order by the Freyas captain, to open fire on a civilian transport filled with refugees. Note: Captain of the Freya was nomad infested]
Nevertheless, after the crisis was layed down, Georg Paulsen was found guilty for insubordination by an court - martial of the new Rhineland government. Because of the circumstances he was not released from duty dishonourable, but he was degraded to Lieutenant junior grade and transferred to an engineer unit. Their task was to clear battle- and mine fields.
More than this, something was broken. In the last 15 years he has never spoken about, what happened in the nomad crisis. Neither to his father nore his wife. More and more he was becoming reserved and depressive.
The birth of his daughter in 803 A.S could not change his mental state. In 804 an psychological expertise claimed him unable to fulfill further duties within the Rhineland military and Georg was released with a small social security pension.
His father helped him to get a job in a small company on Planet Hamburg and settled over to Georgs and Susannas house to help with the costs.
Within the next 7 years his life returned a bit to normal. A light was the birth of his son in 806 A.S. He was and is loving his daughter very much, but the birth of his son was making him a bit opener to the world around.
In 811 A.S Georgs father died in an incident on Altona station. This was an terrible setback for his mental state, because more than his wife and the children, his father was the anchor, the ideal. He started drinking and screaming to his wife and childs. He lost his job, because of the drinking. The life asurance of his father was enough to pay back the owes for the house, but nothing more. So he and his family ran out of money, which made the situation worster.
One day, at the end of 815 A.S., he was gone to far. He was drunken and insulted his son, when beatening him for a small reason. So his wife had no other choice, than taking the childs and leaving him. A few years ago, on the burial of Georgs father, she hade made contact to Georgs brother, Gunnar, without his knowledge. Gunnar was making a good business with his small, but specialized garage and was able to send a small amount of money every month to help his brothers family. Now he was giving his sister in law asylum on New London, because she had no other family members or closer friends, always been busy to take care of the childs and her depressive husband.
In the beginning of 816 Georg tried to commit suizide and was transferred to a psychlogical clinic. One day a visitor came to look for him. It was his brother with an ultimatum of his wife.
When he wants to get his family back, he must become a non alcoholic and must show his willingness to find the way back to live. Additionally Gunnar was speaking hard, but true words to him. He also offered to give his part of their fathers life asurance, which he had saved, to Georg for a new beginning. If he wants, he just has to call.
Despite the bad things Georg has done to his family and his sadness, he is loving and missing his family. When he was released from the psychological clinic in the midst of 816 A.S, he was starting a therapy and made good progressions. He kept his hands off of the alcohol and finally, one day, called his brother. Gunnar was coming to Hamburg to give him the promised credits for the new start and to help with.
Togther they managed to find an employment for Georg within the ALG. They were looking for transport pilots. Georg, who has learned to fly a ship, when he was a cadett on the military college was the first choice for them.
The only hitch was, that he had to proof his abilities in a subcontract as an independent trader. So he was in need for a freighter, which was not the problem. Along with the credits, his brother gave him and the credits he got when was selling the house was enough to purchase a Humpback and to equip it.
His brother was happy, when looking at him and the good changes, but he had its own business and had to return to New London.
Sure, there was no hug on his departure, to much was happened, but a handshaking and when Gunnar watched in the eyes of his brother, he had faith Georg will make it.
Georg watched the the Liners dparture and was feeling stupid for beeing angry to his brother all the years. He got a chance. A chance to get his life and family back. Now it was up to him to take that chance.
The spell of his father jumped in his mind: be always straight, honest and never give up.
