The lights led him this time to a large cylindrical tank. A breathing mask dangled from the roof of it.
"Step inside and adorn the mask. When you wake up, you'll be.. New."
There were two identical tanks next to the open one, filled with a murky gray liquid. A vague humanoid shape bobbled in each, though one seemed less formed, less whole. The label above it said 'B'. The tank next to it seemed to hold a female body, obvious curves visible despite the gloom. The label above that read 'A'. Theo's tank read 'C'.

'Hm, nice curves on that chick,' Theo thought to himself silently. Life in the Omicrons is tough, after all, and mentally unbalanced runaways that didn't bathe often didn't really get much company of the female persuasion.
He glanced nervously at the 'B' tank, unnerved by the form that looked like a human, but not a human, at the same time. Ignoring the strange looking form, he climbed into the 'C' tank, shivering only slightly, without clothes to protect him from the soft air currents of the ship.
"I'm ready, friend," he said, and, without hesitation, strapped on the mask and closed his eyes.
