Topic: Questions to Dublin's Mollys
Let me start like this: I'm a half-Londoner, half-Dubliner and I care a lot for Dublin which I regard as my home system. I've never been a supporter of the separatist Molly movement because it weakens the nation of Bretonia at a time when unified action is needed against outward enemies, yet I can live with the Mollys dream of being an independent nation. I am a proud Bretonian when it comes to the Kusari-Bretonian conflict. Currently I'm closely alligned with the IMG. So you see, I'm trying to stay somewhere in the middle of it all.
Having explained who I am, I have some questions to ask because something doesn't feel right:
1. The confusing status of Arranmore
While trying to return some pilots of friendly (e.g. Molly) and not so friendly factions (e.g. Corsairs, Kusaris) collected from battlefields to Arranmore with best interests for both Bretonia und Molly in my mind, I was stopped by Molly pilots who told me that it is a punishable offence to land on Arranmore.
I checked the onboard available diplomacy files and didn't find a statement about it, yet this could also be due to the limited bandwith of my ship's database. Some of the pilots wanted to fine me for that offence, which I denied due to reasons stated in the following paragraphs. Gladly, the chaps were fine ones actually and they let me go.
I'm curious: Doesn't the Separatist Faction using Arranmore Base want to be recognized as a political unit and a legal political faction? Because if it wanted to be seen as such a party, they should tell their pilots not to appear like dirty pirates who protect their hidden nest from harmless traders like IMG alligned ones.
Wouldn't a political entity, which has been isolated for a long time and which is trying to gain acceptance in many ways, open up their station to those who want to peacefully interact with them? I personally think this might be the way the Mollys should want to be perceived by non-conflict parties.
2. Access to ressources in the Dublin Sector
I was told that under the Molly Republic there were rules about accessing ressources in Dublin. The Republic failed and small factions who, sadly, again tend to act like pirates and terrorists again treat miners and traders like pirates would.
Folks, I have no problem if you don't want BMM close to your Arranmore station and in your mining fields since they are a Bretonian corporation. I can understand your grudge against them, even if I think this should be a thing of the past. Even though I think that you should find a permanent settlement with London, I can accept your unwillingness to have your former foe in your garden. Same applies to former enemy fighting forces like BAF and the Bretonian Police.
But: I can't understand why for example IMG miners are excluded from access to the Arranmore field, taxed at gunpoint when mining in the system or pirated indiscriminately by Mollys who haven't yet understood how to behave when one wants to be politically accepted and recognized as a political entity.
Remember: Im times of political an economic isolation, where could you go to buy things and trade your products? It wasn't Essex for sure. And not the BMM base. And certainly not the core sectors of Bretonia. It was the Hood, IMG property and neutral in all aspects. It's still the Hood.
That means: You have profited a lot and you will further profit in the future from a neutral force that is not alligned with the Bretonian forces. Hood is a public open door to the universe if there is another political move against your separatist wishes. IMG investment (like keeping the Hood open for everyone who knows how to behave) and their hands in the sector are really helpful to the Molly faction, please take notice of that.
Thus I conclude that it would be in the Molly's best interest to open up towards those factions that have never been hostile towards them and to drop their outdated criminal outward appearance. Open your bases, open your territories for those who want to deal with you and thus improve your economic situation and consequently strengthen the acceptance of your small semi-illegal group as an acceptable political unit.
That's what I wanted to say. And I wanted to say it because I love Dublin, I love Bretonia and I can't look at things that obviously are wrong to me without speaking out.
Keep safe, see you in and around Dublin.
Jack Hederson, just a normal pilot in love with his home system.

this is quite a ooc line, because bretonia isn't a faction but a nation, so BMM is a Bretonian corporation.))
