I searched but couldn't find anything on Crysis 2. Releases on all 3 consoles.
Crysis 2 is going to be released sometime (first half? of) next year. It has been delayed once I think but I'm still looking forward to it. Uses the new CryEngine3.
I will be throughly dissapointed if this game is not the new benchmark for game graphics, and graphics card melting ability;)
I'm sure we can expect it to have all the latest direct x support and optimization.
Moving on- it's set in New York City as apposed to the island from Crysis 1 and Warhead.
I guess it will be released somewhere in March if they didn't postpone it again. It was a nice idea for them to postpone it because too many games were coming out in the christmas time like Black Ops, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and all, it would cut the profit for them. Now they only have Deus Ex kinda titles to compete with, which is nice cause they are in a different genre.
Black Ops multi will be a bit more stable by then and people will have a higher chance to get interested in Crysis 2.
All marketing because as far as I know, the game was already polished and ready to be shipped around October.
EDIT: You can also observe this from the limited edition contents. They are all multi based.
BUT for collectors like me, the limited edition contents are fail.
I'm really looking forward to this latest installment in the underated Crysis series that most commonly gets viewed as a graphics benchmark. On the console markets, it'd have to compete against FPS dominators such as Call of Duty, Killzone and Battlefield but I'm confident it'll be able to gain a foothold.
Played it on the Gamescom, didn't like it as much as the first one. It seems to have lost it's uniqueness by looking at other Shooters alá CoD and so on for improvements. The Multi-player is the usual CoD-rip off ... The Singleplayer will be the only thing I'm looking forward to, 'cause the story is the only thing that looks promising for me.
