"Cowboy" notices the Maltesians. His hat drops a dark shadow on his eyes, so the stare couldn't be noticed very easily. He takes out another cigar, lights it. After a minute he pushes a button on the gauntlet and starts whispering.
- 'oi, Betty. You met two sniffies didn't 'ya?
Soon, the respond from Betty came into his ear implant:
- Aha. I hope you ain't move your fists again.
"Cowboy" scratched his unclean chin.
- Not right now. Try to check the net for their mugs and bounties on them, 'kay? I don't wanna waste my precious time for worthless junk.
- Roger. Just try to not do anything stupid. I have already spoken to the administration, they're not very happy about our actions here. Looks like we're gonna lose some part of this derp bounty just because of the fine.
- 'kay, girl. I'll try.
Just after the conversation, he ordered a glass of beer.
the man decides to take a seat behind the two maltesians and procedes to pull out a data pad and apears to press on the side of his helmet and procedes to talk to an unknown person.
"hey is there any known warents on two maltesians whove been hanging around the area"
the return voice is to dim for anyone but the man to understand after that.
"roger good to know"
the waiter comes up to him but he waves him off and says he shouldent be here for to long.
I don't think we need to worry about them, amigo, the captain muttered to Antonio. They wouldn't want to mess with the commanders of a battleship, would they?he said just loud enough for everyone in the bar to hear.
Antonio winced at this. He hated it when Vittorio boasted like that. But it seemed to work. The three bounty hunters turned back to their drinks, muttering among each other.
Vittorio leaned towards his first mate and whispered,We'd better keep our eyes on those two.
He casually nodded his head at the man who had taken a seat behind them and at the odly-dressed figure across the room. Antonio snorted.
I'm not scared of cowboys, captain.
I know, amigo. Be careful anyway.
A waiter stopped by their table and asked for their order. Vittorio ordered two Sidewinder Fangs and took a deep breath from his cardamine inhaler.
Soon, "Cowboy" heard a bleep in his eye implant, noticeable only to him.
- 'Yo? - Whispered he.
- Sorry, Rick. No answer from net. I just searched through all bounties database, no mugs of these group. Probably some casuals. However, try to make a pics of their, maybe it'll help us.
- 'kay.
Rick shared an eye contact with few bounty hunters in the bar, however, soon they hid their eyes from him, probably realizing that Rick's glance is the one that means a question.
Then Rick took a glance at the group of the Outcasts. The "glance" was long enough to notice that he's actually staring at them already. Soon, iris and pupil of his left eye changed into some sort of bio-mechanical part. That obviously was an eye implant, and probably, illegal one.
He threw few snapshots of the Outcasts, then clicked a button on gauntlet.
- Got 'em? - Asked he to Betty.
- Nice an' clear. Are you plannin' to stay there?
- Just fo' a bit. I still have some beer to drink.
- Just don't get drunk, you prick. Remember what you did the last time when you piloted the ship while drunk?
- 'Dat rock appeared from nowhere, I'm tellin' 'ya.
- 'Ye. Whatever.
Another bleep. This time it notices about the end of conversation. His iris turned into normal, while keeping the pupil in the same mode.
Senior, Antonio muttered. That man... that cowboy. He's staring at us rather intently.
Vittorio smirked but didn't turn around to look.
So? He's no danger to us.
But what if he's after us? Antonio asked.
What will he do?Vittorio replied calmly. If anyone here tries anything stupid, amigo, they're dead. The Hand is only two clicks away and can turn this bar into a wisp of ionized vapors in a matter of seconds.
Si, of course, captain.
The waiter came back with the two drinks the captain had ordered. Grinning, Vittorio took a large sip from his. Antonio looked at his indifferently, unconsciously fiddling with the safety-lever of his sidearm.
the man continues simply watching the men suspiciously from his seat then suddenly notices a sort of flickering of sorts in the 'cowboy's' eye and brings up his vizors visual enhancement for X4 zoom, and notices a strange bio nural augment of sorts in what apeard to be the mans eye.
"Do you know of any recent bio nural eye augements that have been preformed recently?"
"Negative, no records of ours shows any recent procedures"
this dident sit well with the man and left him troubled about what exatly was going on here so he decided to stick around to just exactly what was going on.
Rick drinks the 6th glass of beer and stands up, whispering to Betty:
- 'kay, girl. Heat up the engines. We're movin'.
Rick comes to the barmaid and gives her credits for the drinks. Giving the last glance to the outcasts his pupil changes into normal. He leaves the room in strong walk.
