Internet crashes when joining server

Hey guys!
Saw your mod after dusting off my copy of Freelancer and was really excited for the multiplayer.
However, after joining your server, about 1 minute or so after I join, I lose connection to the server and my internet disconnects; only fixable by rebooting computer (checked other computers while joining server, they don't lose the internet).

Is this a common problem?

Also, some system info:
Windows XP SP3
NVIDIA GeForce 250 GTS (SLI)
INTEL Quad Core Processor
ASUS P5N-D Motherboard
NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller
(also, something about WAN Miniports, not sure if that has anything to do with anything)
That's about all I know that's relevant.

You can't browse to a website after the game crashes?

Also, I am assuming all the computers you mentioned share the same internet connection?

Looking at the server logs, there's nothing obvious.

I have experienced a similar problem in the past. In my case it was related to network drivers for VirtualBox. They would cause me to randomly disconnect.

Also firewall/antivirus software could possibly be blocking the connection.

Would antivirus/firewall do it? I can connect to the server, but after about a minute I can't move or talk and then it says I lost connection to the server and I have to alt+tab out and use CTRL+ALT+DEL to close.

Nope. Just confirmed it's not the antivirus.

EDIT: It also does this with Minecraft too (if that has any correlation)
