A young woman appears on the screen. She appears deeply concerned by something but the moment she looks into the camera her expression changes to one of sincerity.
Greetings corporate backscratchers.
I do not expect you to know who I am, and I do not presume that you should care.
She pauses, reflecting on what she has just said before leaning closer to the camera.
I am Elektra King.
And I am telling you to care.
Clearly impressed with the dramatic effect, a slight smirk crosses the woman's face.
As the years go by, you, the citizens of Liberty lumber along with your miserable, inadequate lives. Oblivious to the stench of corruption that fills the very air you breathe and the food that you eat. Know this corporate peons: The decline of the great house of Liberty is not "somebody else's problem", you are -all- victims, and the Lane Hackers -cannot- save you all. As a wise man once told me, "It's a war we fight. Civilian casualties are sad but necessary." So I ask one thing of you. Save yourselves. Open yourself to the truth, see what your impotent minds do not want to see.
To those of you that heed my advice: Congratulations. You have made the first step.
You have to know the answer to this question! If you died right now, how would you feel about your life? If you don't know it, you're far away from the truth we provide on everyday basis for everyone who seeks it. Now think about it, do you really seek the truth ? Do you really want to find out you're not the smartest, prettiest person in the galaxy ? You're all generation raised by technology, and we do control that technology.
