I'm not sure when it comes out, but I'm not really expecting too much from Bethesda. They've dumbed down the game significantly and removed a lot of features from what I've heard. No eye or groin-shots, no child-killing (not that I went around murdering kids unless I played a REALLY bad guy), no setting your INT really low and playing an idiot character, and the dialog options are going to be more akin to Oblivion than Fallout.:(It seems like it will be RPG-lite.
I can't say I'm looking forward to it but I'll be interested to see how it turns out.
well from what it seems at this point, it's going to lose a lot of the quirky pop culture refrences and humor. Also it may be dumbed down like the awful Brotherhood of Steel for xbox. I would love to see something like tactics with more storyline and rp involved.
I'm still holding out some hope, it's a flicker at best, but it's there.
But, it could end up being a penguin simulator, they're pretty much already have my money. My biggest disappointment with it was the apparent lack of any modability, Oblivion vanilla was allright 'n all... But it was the insanely amazing modding community that turned it into something epic.
But I have to agree with you Zelot, the various spinoffs have left the franchise beaten and shaking in a dark corner somewhere. Brotherhood of Steel... Bah. One of the great things about Fallout 1 is that it was literally possible to beat the game without firing a single shot, if you were clever enough and put the skills in the right places. Awesome game.
Fallout 3 has been told to be realased in first quarter 2009, more then 100 developers are working on it now. Game will be like based on decisions and actions u done to make your character good or bad(kinda like SW: KOTOR series) And has been told that NPC will be with interaction with envairament..

Ok folks, Fallout 3 was the big game at the E3 convention this year, and has got a lot of hype behind it. Release date is currently Fall 2008. And we have some gameplay demos to look at and salivate over.
Yeah looks awesome. Can't wait to play it, though I'm debating whether to get it on PS3 or PC. With the PC version, my computer might not be able to handle it enough to play the game at it's best settings, so I'll lose out there, whereas with the PS3 version it'll be the best graphics possible. But then again there's no way to get player mods on your PS3, and if FO3 is the same as Bethesda's other big recent game, Oblivion, they'll release a construction set and let players make mods. Considering vanilla Oblivion wasn't all long lasting for me, it was the player-made mods that extended it's lifespan, so I'm hoping that my PC will be able to play the game to it's best in case there are player mods to be downloaded.
