Re : Capital Vessel Fuel Shortages, Mitigation Thereof
Ladies and Gentlemen
The worsening of the Capital Vessel fuel crisis has required me to issue the following edict:
The use of Capital Vessels in combat shall be suspended immediately, except in situations when their use is warranted, namely when an equivalent-class ENEMY capital ship is in combat.
There is also no need to bring more strength in general than the enemy has; our skills and good Bretonian equipment make us equal to twice their numbers, in any case.
The use of a Capital ship for command purposes is permitted, but only one such vessel should be present near the battle at any given time.
Of course, this edict does not apply to Capital Ships in orbit or necessary flight in a standby capacity, in the absence of nearby combat.
Times are difficult. We must conserve our limited resources. We have only one fortnight of fuel reserves.
It is the responsibility of the Bretonian Armed Forces Admiralty to enforce these regulations.
This day, the 19th of December 818 AS, I place here my hand and seal.
