Greetings, Doc - it's been a while since the Independent Communist Miners' Guild has had any contact with our good friends in the TAZ, but I'm hoping to change all that. I'm sad to say that there's not much time for the usual formalities, so I'll get straight to the point.
Recently, many members of the Guild have come down with some sort of sickness. We're not quite sure what, but they're all miners, who have been working in a rich ore field that we believe to be previously undiscovered, just outside the normal range of most navigational computers' detection in Omega-7. The ICMG has always prided itself on providing some of the best medical care in Sirius to our members, and even with our current organizational problems, we'll hold ourselves to that standard.
It is for this reason that I'm contacting you. I know that the Temporary Autonomous Zoners have some of the best medical facilities in Sirius, second only to perhaps Cryer Pharmaceuticals and perhaps Cambridge. We'd like to ask if a meeting could be arranged to discover what sort of ailment our workers have, and how it could be cured or treated. As well, we'd like to find out what's causing it. I can provide full details of the workers, their shifts, the environmental conditions in their surroundings, whatever will help to get the job done.
Of course, we know that nothing is free - we're willing to forward a handsome payment to the TAZ if they're able to assist us. Please let me know if you're willing and able to help.

Kallisti, Mr. Grigori,
I apologize for my delayed response. The misses and I were away for a holiday celebration.
I will admit, my knowledge of Omega 7 is quite limited as my travels there have been for only transit purposes but I have treated a member of the ICMG in the past so I welcome this opportunity.
I'm not certain that I will be able to bring Med.Force into Omega 7 as I don't think the Rheinland authorities would take to us being there too kindly but what I will do is this, I will send a team there to take some readings and give some exams. If this goes well and they aren't considered a threat in terms of being contagious, I will then take some of them to Med.Force for a complete study for a cure.
You have offered details on the workers themselves, shifts, environmental conditions and so forth. Everything and anything you can provide will be of help.
I noticed that you mentioned Cryer and Cambridge. So that you know, we do a lot of business with both in the training of scientists and medical professionals. I myself lecture and give classes when time allows at Cambridge. What medicines we cannot produce ourselves we purchase from Cryer so you can rest assure that you are getting the best of all of us.
I will get back to you once I get an away team put together and make our way to the system.

I just got your message - thank you for your attention, we'll set up whatever's needed. Those currently ill have been placed in a quarantine onboard an unused mining vessel, the ICMG Wehrite. We can deliver the ship to wherever is most convenient for you, as we have several uninfected folks willing to pilot the Wehrite wherever it needs to go. Of course, we'd never expect you to bring such a large ship into Omega-7 for such a small amount of people. I've attached a file with all the information about those who have fallen ill, including their shifts (in both localized time and Sirius Mean Time), the conditions of the mining ships they work on, and precise locations of the mining sites.
Whatever we can do to make this easier for you, we're willing to do. Thank you for helping.

As you have gone through the trouble to get a ship together with the sick and a crew to fly it, I will ask then that you fly it to the Omega 49 system. Med.Force.One is moored just off the planet. If I am not on board to greet the crew then my chief medical officer, Dr. Edward Tesh will be.
As this illness is unknown, I insist that no one leaves the Wehrite. A team of my people will board it and begin examinations. Instruct your people to bring provisions enough to be comfortable for a long stay on ship should it be necessary. Hopefully, it won't come to that but it's good to be prepared.
And if you could, please re-transmit those files. I'm having a difficult time uploading them. I will need them so if you would do this, I would be greatful.

Right, then - most of our mining vessels are already retrofitted with enough supplies for a month or two of deep-space journey, so that won't be a problem. The Wehrite can depart for Omega-49 within the next half an hour.
