I didn't find any topic about this, so i decided to ask if anyone had it and how to fight this problem.
The fact is that when i Alt+Tab the game to desktop and then again Alt+Tab into game, in most cases sound becomes very loud. To fight it i have to go to sound settings and move one of sound controls (not necessary to save settings) and sound becomes normal. Can it be repaired or not? If yes, how?

As far as I am aware, No. even with the music turned down ingame , when you alt-tab to desktop and then come back into the game your chances of this happening are there.
The only way to combat this is to trun off the sound of your computer.
If anyone else knows something better, please post.
It probably has to do something with OS. On my old comp, with Win XP service pack3, this sound glitch happened quite often. When I tried installing FL on my win7 notebook, sound glitch disappeared, bud another issue popped up: my ship would freeze in place when I alt-tab, even while at cruise speed, supposedly continuing to move while alt-tabbed, but yanking back when switched back ingame. I recommend running FL in window mode via FLAM, it eliminated both issues for me, and made switching to desktop very easy
I used to have this problem. I completely fixed it though. The only price i had to pay was no more music ingame, at all. The other sounds are still completely working.
If you want this too, close your game and open the game folder of Freelancer.
Subfolder DATA
subfolder AUDIO
You will see a folder named MUSIC
Do not remove it. Right click it, Rename. turn the name into MUSIC_ or something. when you have done this you can play the game again, without the soundbug ever bugging you again.;)
